Inspire Fall Fashion with Elle Magazine September 9, 2014 | This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, InStyle, Vogue and Elle, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #inspirefallfashion http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV The third week of August each year may not seem like a big deal to you, but to me it only means one thing….”The September Issues!” Every year, I skip off to Target, anxious to get my hands on the latest and greatest in the Fashion world for the upcoming Fall season. The approaching cooler temps and changing out of my wardrobe gets me all kind of giddy, along with excitement of making a list of new pieces that I plan to add to my closet for the season to stay on trend. The September Issues offer amazing editorial inspiration on every page (admittedly, I even love going through the ads over and over!), but sometimes they can be a bit hard to break down and translate into how you can actually make the trends work for you. I decided to really dissect the September Issue of Elle Magazine and come up with a styled post on how you too can try out of few of my favorite trends for Fall. A few of the trends that were highlighted in the September issue of Elle that I am most excited about and cannot wait to wear are: 70’s inspired silhouettes: If I’m being honest, I have always been drawn to this fashion period. Fringe, floral, and wide leg denim is totally my jam. This trend encourages you to give your skinny jeans a break from their constant rotation and experiment with some more flared leg denim. For us girls who have some junk in the trunk, they can be so flattering too, as they draw the eye down (the jeans that I am wearing are 7 For All Mankind, but I have shared more favorites below as well). Fringe and embroidery are so indicative of the 70’s, so this fun poncho is a great piece to add to your rotation, and the perfect piece to transition with. Nonconforming fits: After a season of the skin tight crop top, and micro mini bandaid dresses, I will greet this trend with open arms. It encourages a more boxy silhouette with neither a top nor bottom piece conforming to the skin. With the loose fitting poncho on top, and flared denim on bottom, I was able to pull it off without looking like I was drowning in my clothes. Quilting: Landry is even able to translate high fashion (ha!) with her trendy quilted mini skirt. Quilting is such a fun way to add texture and interest to your outfit. Whether is be a quilted jacket, riding boots, or handbag, quilting is going strong through Fall. Quilting, folk floral and a tassel necklace (plus a granola bar)…she has more style in her pinky finger than I ever will! Shop my look: Denim: 7forAllMankind, similar, similar, similar, REALLY wanting these! Fringe Poncho: Local boutique, similar, similar, budget friendly Handbag: Tory Burch Robinson Tote (a neutral tote is a must in my Fall rotation!), also dying this this one, more budget friendly option here. Leather Tassel Keyring: Gigi New York Sunnies: Ray Ban, similar budget friendly option here. Boots: Nordstrom (still on sale!) Bracelets: Tassel, Link Shop LK’s look: Floral Sweatshirt: Target Quilted mini: Old Navy Shoes: Converse Necklace: Carters, similar Now that you’re (hopefully) feeling inspired and confident that you can tackle the season’s trends, get your booty over to Target and pick up the September Issues! Target knows us fashion gals too well, so they are offering a $5 Target gift card when you purchase any two September Issues of Elle, Vogue or InStyle until September 13th! Aside from a PSL, I plan to put my gift card towards this omg amazing jacket for LK! < >
