How to Style Wide Leg Crops (3 Ways!) April 10, 2018 | Good Morning, friends! First of all, thank you SO much for the love on yesterday’s post. You guys are truly the most uplifting and supportive bunch and I appreciate it more than you know! I LOVE today’s post! I am partnering with Nordstrom to not only highlight their brand Halogen, but to show you how to style wide leg crops! Unless you live under a rock, you’ve likely noticed this denim silhouette coming back into style over the past few months and it’s really taken off here recently! I knew that I wanted to try them out, but needed a little push of inspiration and this post was the perfect excuse. Not only did I find the wide leg crop to be a flattering and fun silhouette, but I was pleasantly SHOCKED at how versatile they were. Let me show you…here’s how I styled them for a casual work day, a fun date night and a casual weekend. Let’s start with a casual work day. Since it’s pretty common to be able to wear denim into the workplace these days, I thought that I would show you guys how well these polished up for a more casual work day. I love this outfit if you are out in the field, taking clients to an informal lunch or work in a more creative type office space. The lines are appropriate for business casual, but there are still enough details to still make it an interesting and on trend outfit. For this look, I paired the wide leg crops with this darling Halogen blouse (that’s under $50!). It’s a thick (yet really soft) cotton with the cutest ruffle sleeve. White + denim is such a classic look, especially with brown or cognac accessories. This look was probably the one that I had the lowest expectations for and ended up being the one that I liked the very best! I got this adorable little peplum tank in the punchy red color and paired it with statement earrings and a pop of pattern with the clutch. I love the lines of the peplum and the wide leg pant…I felt a little sassy, yet thought this was appropriate for a fun dinner or happy hour. It is SO flattering and cute!!! The red also looks great with our favorite pair of white jeans. It comes in quite a few punchy colors and is perfect for a Summer date night or even paired with a printed pencil skirt (this one from Halogen is actually *perfect* to pair with it) for something like a wedding or baby shower. Ok, last but not least…weekend! This is such an easy and achievable look that’s comfy but still trendy. I just tucked my favorite Halogen tank into the wide legs crops, threw on some polished sandals, my go-to hat and a little silk scarf. Love this for brunch or weekend shopping.
