Home Projects for 2015 January 6, 2015 | Hi! Did you guys survive officially being back in the real world yesterday?? For us, it was a little hectic, but overall felt really amazing to be back into a routine. Toddlers (and toddler mama’s, IMO) work best on a schedule and I forgot how good it feels to understand how your day will likely play out. Today, I wanted to share a few projects that are on the to-do list this year and will be documented here on the blog. Fortunately, we’ve made a lot of progress on our home in the two years we’ve been here, but there are still a few room that we haven’t touched and a few spaces that need to be tweaked. Looking forward to diving in! The first room on the list is the Media Room // Multipurpose room. If you’ve been here a while, you know that it was my first One Room Challenge (you can read all about that here). After living in the space for over a year now, it’s time to tweak it a little bit. I still love the overall feel and the bright colors and patterns, but the layout needs to change. I am almost certain that the bed is going to be put into storage, because truth be told, we don’t usually have more than 2-3 visitors at once and the secondary guest room really never gets used. I’m thinking of moving my desk to that wall and giving Landry much more room to play. As you guys know, as the child grows, so do to toys and I’m feeling like we are running out of space fast. Image via Jen @ iHeart Organizing Next, in that same room, there’s a closet that has been giving me anxiety for so long now. About a year ago all of the cheap wire shelving (that was already installed when we moved in) collapsed and caused mass chaos. It’s supposed to be my craft closet and really it’s just a disheveled mess. Honestly, I found 5 glue guns when I began sorting through it, because I can’t find things and keep buying more. It’s pathetic. This project has already begun (I hinted at it on Insta Sunday night). I am loving the way it’s coming together and can’t wait to show you some more sneaks. Btw- Isn’t Jen’s wrapping station TO.DIE.FOR?! I need to upgrade my wrapping paper 🙂 Image via: Style at Home Another room that we’ve yet to touch is the Kitchen. Knowing that it would be a massive undertaking in its entirety, we just aren’t willing to take it on at this point. On the other hand there are things about it that drive me crazy daily and I think that by giving our sink nook an upgrade I can make the overall feel of the kitchen more love able. Image via Traditional Home Last on the list is the primary guest bedroom. It has not been touched to date and I’m still using the bedding I bought when we were first married. Overall, it’s not an ugly room, it just needs some zhush-ing and new bedding. How unreal are these sheets?? They might be my inspo to kick off the room! And don’t worry, there are sure to be tons of smaller projects sprinkled in there too! Make sure that you’re following along on Instagram, which is where I give daily peeks into what we are up to! What’s on your “To-Do List” for 2015? I’d love to hear!

Bama Girl in TX says January 6, 2015 at 2:09 PM My to-do list is SO long as we are about a month from moving into our new home. 8 months of building has worn me out!! But mostly right now I'm focused on sewing drapes for all the rooms and making a padded headboard for my daughter.
