Gift Guide: for Girlfriends + a GIVEAWAY!

Hi Friends! First of all, thank you SO much for your feedback on yesterday’s post. I am so thankful for you guys and felt an overwhelming sense of relief as each comment, text or email came through saying you really liked this format!!! As promised, today is part two of my Gift Guide for HER (Part I HERE)! This time I’m talking about the very best gifts for your dearest girlfriends! From colorful to cute and heartfelt to heart-warming, I’ve got them all covered. Girlfriends are truly one of life’s richest blessings in my opinion. They are essential to my sanity, make me laugh every day, and, most importantly, they know where all the bodies are buried…if ya know what I mean! Buying gifts for my best girls is always so much fun…I feel like I can step out of the box just a little a go for colorful, cheeky and trendy!

As I was writing this post, I started to think about YOU guys. How I really do consider you all my girlfriends and how I wish that I could send each of you fun gifts this Holiday Season. You put up with my constant use of bad grammar and run-on sentences, you come here daily to see what I’m blabbering about, and you are the most supportive and encouraging group of women that I honestly have no idea how I got so lucky to meet. Five | Grace, Not Perfection for $12!

If you have some busy mamas in the trenches of motherhood on your list, please please consider getting her this book. It’s such an inspiring and uplifting read with room to journal and record thoughts and inspirational quotes. Emily Ley is one of my absolute favorite Instagram mamas out there and her message that we should all offer ourselves Grace over Perfection hits home so hard with me. So many of my own girlfriends are getting this book for Christmas!

I mean not much else to say aside from this being the cutest thing of ever. They also have a matching one for little girls, too!

Seven | Don’t Talk While I’m Texting Mug

My hubby would tell you that this mug is stating my life story. I only tell him to shush while I’m texting because I simply can’t focus on both…yeah right, #ijustdontcare 😉

The best (GNI) “girls-night-in” sweatshirt if I’ve ever seen one. These days, loungewear doesn’t have to be frumpy and this sequin, cheeky sweatshirt is the perfect example of that.

Eleven | Flannel Lounge Pants

These come in a ton of plaids and I love that there’s some shape given to the otherwise baggy flannel style with the banded ankles. Another great piece of loungewear and a great gift for so many ladies on your list.

Okay, I think that this is one of my favorites! It’s a knit throw that you cozy into the tail of and never have to worry about being cold or not looking adorable in. It comes in a ton of colors and is just about the cutest thing, a fun way to mix up gift giving.

Fourteen | Mini Stud Earrings

These are great for busy moms who like a little punch of sparkle on the daily. They come in a ton of colors, make great gifts and are an awesome price point. Face it, all girls love Kate Spade, too!

Fifteen | Baies Candle 

My favorite Diptique scent and an awesome candle to give a girlfriend in a new home! The aesthetic of these candles is gorgeous, but the concentration of the scent makes it so worth the higher price. They are truly a luxurious gift to give and receive.

Now for the gift exchange! Like I mentioned, I really do consider this blog just a community of friends. When I open my computer to write a post, I consider it like opening my email to write my girlfriends about whatever is on my mind. There are quite a few of you that I text, email and communicate with daily and I feel so blessed to have fostered actual friendships through a completely virtual space. Your trust, loyalty and encouragement have taken this blog from a journal to something greater than I could have ever imagined. I’m writing this at 5:15 am not because I drug myself out of bed, but because I virtually skip out of bed at 5 am every morning to finish the daily post. I am so passionate about this little space and am so giddy when I hit “publish” on each post.

Before I blab into oblivion, here’s the thing…I never ask for help. Like ever. I’m more likely to do down in a sinking ship thinking that I can swim 10 miles to shore than ask for a life raft. I never have and it’s probably one of my worst qualities. I always get nervous that I might put someone out or slightly offend them by asking for a piece of their time and instead take on everything myself. Today, I’m sucking it up, biting my nails and totally asking for YOUR help…

This past year, you guys have helped me to grow this little piece of space into something so amazing. I remember thinking this last year and I could have never imagined that it would continue to grow in 2016. What I’ve come to realize is that the very best form of flattery is referring Style Your Senses to your friends. It’s the biggest compliment to introduce my little space to women who you love and trust and truly the most organic way to continue to grow this community of women.
