Gap Girlfriend Chinos Worn 3 Ways November 2, 2016 | I’ve been wearing these GAP Girlfriend Chinos for a few months now and thought that it was about time that I showed you how versatile they were and why they’re not your grandma’s chinos! To be honest, the word “chino” is a hard one for me. It makes me think of two things…private school uniform pants and/or all of the horrendous khaki pants that I made my mom throw out a few years ago. Neither option is appealing for obvious reasons, so I was super hesitant to give these a try. They always sat in the front of the store and the more and more I walked past them, the more I was drawn to them. They come in really cool colors (you won’t catch me in the khaki), have a worn, washed look and are a great relaxed “girlfriend” (aka not as baggy as boyfriend) fit. I saw myself running around with Landry in them and even playing comfortably at the park in them. I knew that there were ways to dress them up a bit and, most of all, I knew that the casual options were endless. Remember last week’s Capsule Wardrobe Post?? Yep, these are on there because I wear them so much! Consider the below a few other outfits to make out of your capsule, too! I styled the chinos a few of my favorite ways for you and holy smokes they are now 40% off making them $36!!! Gap is having their Friends and Family Sale (40% off the entire site!) right now, so it’s a great time to stock up for the entire family. I styled this look to show you that they are a year-around pant. Great with sleeveless or short sleeves in the Spring / Summer and even sandals in really warm weather. I keep my Converse slip-ons at the door and they are perfect to pair back to relaxed fit pants like these. Denim Jacket | White Tank | Chinos | Slip-on Converse | Handbag (40% off!) | Necklace | Sunnies **Major Major MAJOR SALE ALERT** My blush handbag…that I’m sure you’re all sick of by now since I’ve been wearing it for over a year!…just got marked down 40% off!!! It’s now under $200 and you better snag it HERE before it goes out of stock. Merry Christmas to YOU! This is more of a Fall look and all I did was swap out the denim for a cozy cardigan and switch up my sneaks! White Tank | Blush Cardigan | Chinos | Handbag (40% off!) | Sneakers | Necklace | Sunnies Olive green and blush pink is actually one of my favorite color combinations as of late…would you agree?? Okay, taking chinos out of their box for a bit and dressing them up with an off the shoulder top and heels. I love the juxtaposition of the outfit and how unexpected the washed and worn chinos are. They give the look a laid-back, cool vibe. Similar Off the Shoulder Top | Another great Top option | Chinos | Leopard Clutch | Nude Heels | Sunnies ($12!) | Black Choker Turn on your JavaScript to view content How the fit? They run true to size. Expect a slightly baggy fit, with slimmer lines than boyfriend jeans. Which colors are my favorite? This green “Cucumber Peel” is my favorite, but I also love “Pacific Mist,” and “Washed Black” Refer back to my 20 Piece Capsule Wardrobe post for tons of other ways to wear them!
Elaine says November 2, 2016 at 8:03 PM Wow those are so cool! Sadly I bought the cutest pair of ripped GAP jeans this summer, only to find out that my school dress code had changed! I need to pick up a pair of these, same style, no rips, and awesome color! xoxo-Elaine https://miscellaneousentriesblog.wordpress.com
