The Friday Edit January 13, 2017 | Whew, I really jumped head first back into the blog this week and was so excited that I churned through 5 posts…which is 2 more than I had planned! It feels so good to be back in a routine and feeling better overall about this Whole 30 situation. This Friday Edit is going to be long (and fun!), so if you’ve missed anything this week, here’s what the highlights were… Top Post: Whole 30 Week 1 Update + Week 2 Meal Plan | You guys continue to be so supportive and encouraging on this journey and I’m so flattered that you come here to check on me each week. You’ve referred your friends, suggested amazing recipes and even sent encouraging messages. I’m feeling the love, ladies, and I’m SO grateful! In this weeks post I recapped a pretty hard Week 1, shared a food diary of everything that I ate and also detailed a Week 2 Meal Plan. See the full post HERE. Instagram Roundup | December on Tuesday I rounded up all of the Instagram highlights from December and also detailed out my Top 5 most worn pieces from last month. You guys took my advice and snagged the cognac moto jacket while it’s in stock at on sale for $58! You also loved the versatility of the saddle bag and how I styled the plaid shirt. If you missed the full post, find it HERE. Shop my TOP FIVE here: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Wednesday’s Post on the Two Versatile Sweaters That EVERY Busy Mom Needs was a huge hit! Both sweaters can be worn as a cardigan or a sweater and give you 4 looks for the price of two. I showed you how to change up each look with a few small style details and how to really make these two pieces work overtime for you! Both are also insanely comfortable and work well for maternity/nursing cover-ups too. See the full post HERE. Heather Grey Convertible Sweater | Dark Grey Convertible Sweater My go-to Leggings | High Waisted Version (great for postpartum) | Maternity Support Tank | Sneakers | Cross Body Bag | Steel Water Bottle | Sunglasses Finally, to round out our little Athleisure week (still have another post for next week) I compiled 30 of my favorite Athleisure pieces from all categories into an “Athleisure Capsule Wardrobe.” I broke it down by category, giving you style tips, pointing out my favorite pieces and also gave some unsolicited underwear advice…lol! You loved the Twist Back Reversible Tee (a personal fav, too!), the Tomboy Tank (another fav!), and were super interested in more about my favorite training leggings. See the full post HERE or shop the capsule below: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Instagram: This inexpensive dress was a huge hit on Instagram this week! It’s so versatile to dress up for a date night or dress down with booties for a casual Saturday. I’m sharing a full outfit post with this dress on Monday, so stay tuned! Dress (Under $50 in multiple colors) | Denim Jacket | Booties | Clutch | Suede Choker This wrap sweater was an Instagram favorite this week, and it was also a part of Wednesday’s post! Versatile and comfortable are the key words, right ladies?! Wrap Sweater (also in Plus Sizes) | Maternity Layering Tank | Leggings | Sneakers | Hat | Sunnies Link Love: I’m all about a backpack diaper bag…honestly, I love them! I desperately need a new one for this baby and am considering getting this one early so that we can take it to Disney. Do you like?? I think that it looks pretty discreet and still chic, right? Ever since trying out Futo Buta here in Charlotte, I’ve been craving another ramen bowl. Too bad we ate ramen the very night before we started Whole 30, because we haven’t been able to eat it again anytime soon. That is until my friend Jennifer over at The Chronicles of Home put her Whole 30 spin on a Ramen Bowl. I am trying it next week with spiralized zucchini noodles and I cannot wait. Do you guys love ramen?? It’s one of my favorite comfort foods! So many of you have been asking about the nursery design for baby girl #2 and while it’s not even a speck of paint on the walls yet, I do have some sort of direction. It will be similar to Landry’s room in some ways and wildly different in others. They will share a common bathroom, so I am pulling in one color from both rooms that I can use in the bathroom as well. This image is very very loose inspiration…getting excited! Image Via Ladies, I have good news!!! Our FAVORITE leggings now come in this chic moto version. Can you guess how fast I added these puppies to my cart?? The answer is less than one second! I love them dressed up for a date night (shhh noone will ever know that you wear them to the gym too) or for a casual day of athleisure wear with your sneakers. I cannot wait to get these in! Shop them HERE. Another thing that I added to cart this week was this turquoise necklace! I’m getting so excited at the thought of Spring ever coming that I couldn’t help but dream of wearing this with a flowy white dress when the weather warms. Isn’t it dreamy??? Oh My Goodness I found THE CUTEST baby shop on Etsy. I was drooling over everything, but honestly this blanket might be the cutest of all. How sweet with this Bible verse?? There are tons of options, too! Is this not the cutest little ruffle dress for Valentines Day?? I’m thinking that the waistline might hit just a little too low for me with this bump, but someone needs to buy and style this with a leopard pump and some statement earrings and hit the town with the hubs! Shop lots of flirty and fun day to night dresses HERE. Sales and Steals: I have to admit that I have Spring fever when it comes to my closet and this little top (on sale for $26!) definitely isn’t helping my cause. How cute paired with white skinnies as the weather warms??? I included these gold hoops in a gift guide post during the Holidays and since no one got the hint, now’s the perfect time to buy them for myself 😉 They are super lightweight and make just enough of a statement for everyday wear…at 40% off they are super affordable too! Happy Friday to me!! Shop them HERE. Heads up! Your favorite mixed media tank is back in stock in all sizes and on sale for $12! No kidding! Shop it HERE. After last weekend’s snow and ice debacle I am really starting to wonder WHY I don’t have a good pair of rain/snow boots? I was searching this week and came across these cuties that look super versatile. They come in 4 colors and are 40% off at $69, which I never see Sperry rainboots priced that low. If you need a pair, this is the time to snag them. Whew, that was long winded…thanks for sticking with me friends! I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Friday Edit and thank you for such a fun week on the blog! It feels wonderful to be re-energized after the break and back into the swing of things! Cheers to a great weekend! xo
Lindsay Torlincasi says January 14, 2017 at 12:04 AM When I was pregnant with #3 last year I was on the hunt for a super cute diaper bag back pack because I had to be hands free. I bought a Fawn Design bag in gray and I ADORE it and receive compliments all the time. Check out their instragram – I think you’ll like! Quality is fab, it’s wipeable and they have the prettiest brass hardware!
