Folk Floral Decor February 25, 2014 | Polvore can be my best friend or worst enemy….sorry for the unfinished post that was published this am. Anywho, today I wanted to talk about another trend that I am loving and am currently incorporating into my formal living room update. Folk Florals. You know what I’m talking about…the bold, bright, floral patterns that are more kitschy than sophisticated and have probably been seen on your grandmas sofa circa the 1970’s. Well, they’re making a comeback and I kinda like em’. I think that they are fun ways to bring pops of color and interest to a room, but prefer them in smaller doses/limited to one piece. Saying that, when I bought this pair of chairs, I definitely got some fun responses from friends about the fabric. I happened to LOVE it, but understand why it may seem dated to some. They are what I am centering my FLR design around and I’m pleased as a pickle as to how its shaping up. So, take another look at these playful florals, friends and take away some inspiration as to how to incorporate them into your space or wardrobe!
