Why “Style Your Senses?”

I wanted a name that encompassed everything and, to me, “senses” does just that. Life is all about how you feel and I think that feeling good in your clothes and in your home is so important. I wanted this blog to be a resource for creating a stylish lifestyle that you feel good about.

What was your major in college? 

I majored in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising with a minor in Business. My goal was to own a boutique, but I actually much preferred the corporate side of retail. I can say, I never in a million years thought that “blogging” would be on my resume.

What camera do you use? 

I use the Canon 7D, with this 50mm lens. This combo is such a great upgrade, even if you just want to take better photos of your kids.

Is blogging your job?

Yep. It has never once felt like “work,” but instead I actually get so excited to hit publish on each post! Even though I love it so much, when you work on something 25-30 hours a week, it does fall into the “job” category.

What’s your favorite food?

Give me all the tacos. No really, I love Mexican food somethin’ fierce. We go out for chips and guac (and margs) every Friday night and I legit start counting down on like Tuesday.

What’s your favorite room in your house?

How would you define your style?

I don’t think that there’s a definition long enough…I dress my feelings and love trying out new looks. I always think that I sway a little boho + preppy chic. I love updating classic looks with trendy accessories.

Where do you get your hair done?

Brooke @ Flirt (704-649-4773) She’s the best ever and does balayage like no other!

Do you offer interior design services?

Nope. I promise you don’t want my crazy ideas.

Do you offer personal styling services?
