Fall Boot Guide 2017 October 24, 2017 | Hey Friends! How are you? I’m so sorry, I know that I promised this post last week but I think that I’m learning my limitations lie within only being able to write 3 full posts a week. Thank you for all of the love on the Athleisure Capsule post though, I’m thrilled that you loved it and found it helpful. I am going to be living in those pieces over the next few months. In other news, here’s the Fall Boot Guide that I’ve been speaking of and I’m really excited to share it with you! I’m talking through each style of boot that I feel you should consider for Fall and am updating you on trends and things to look for along the way. My “best of the best” picks are on the board below and the entire thing is shoppable, but I’m also breaking down each category below for more details… JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. These are your most loved and most worn Fall and Winter shoe and they go with nearly *everything.* They can easily be worn with jeans and a sweater or dressed up a little with a cute sweater dress. My personal preference is to buy these basic styles in neutral tan, mocha, or camel colored suedes. I feel like these are the most versatile colors, complement other Fall neutrals and do a wonder for elongating the leg. *You might notice that there really aren’t any black booties here, and you’re right. I personally feel like black booties are a heavy weight to an outfit and really draw the eye down, which never looks best to me. I’d rather have a true tan neutral elongate my legs and compliment by outfit, not distract from it. ONE | TWO | THREE | FOUR Turn on your JavaScript to view content WEDGE | These definitely have a more sporty feel and are great for on-the-go-gals who love that little bit of added height that a wedge boot gives you! If you’ve been following along, you know that I’ve been living in number 6! FIVE | SIX | SEVEN Turn on your JavaScript to view content MIDI | These boots are above the ankle, but not quite mid-calf. A hybrid between a true calf boot and an ankle boot…and they just so happy to be my favorite style. I love these midi boots with a great pointed toe to create clean, long lines and a super flattering silhouette. Number eight is my absolute favorite neutral and I’m dying to buy them. What do you guys think? EIGHT | NINE | TEN | ELEVEN Turn on your JavaScript to view content FASHION | Whew lots of trends to discuss for this season when it comes to boots! I’m not sure that I expect the majority of you to *love* these trends, but I’m here to keep you informed and aware 😉 -EMBROIDERY + BROCADE FLORALS // Definitely an old-school look that adds lots of interest and texture to your tootsies. -WHITE BOOTS // Oh man this one is big. The white go go boots from the 70’s have come back, except this time they’re midi length and have a more pointed toe. I will say the trend is growing on me, but not practical enough for me to try as a mama of two. I love how fashionistas are pairing them with flirty ruffled dresses or boyfriend jeans with blazers. Rocking the white boot trend this Fall will definitely get you some street cred 😉 My favorites out there are number THIRTEEN, I would actually wear these often. -EMBELLISHED BOOTS // Pearls, studs, and stitching….oh my! Boots this season are getting major upgrades thanks to some key embellishments, especially on the heel. Number fourteen has my heart and they also come in black! Best selection of fashion boots HERE. TWELVE | THIRTEEN | FOURTEEN Turn on your JavaScript to view content TALL + OTK / Every gal needs a key tall boot. I actually say that you need a neutral tall boot and a black over the knee boot, but I digress. I also love looking for clean lines and more of a pointed toe on tall boots so they create a flattering silhouette and longer legs. The main thing to consider when buying a tall boot is that they for throughout the leg. You want to ensure that you have enough room to wear something like jeans with them, but also that you don’t have *too* much room to make your legs appear wider. I’m noticing that riding boots are much less trendy this year and have been replaced by suede flat boots like number eighteen. FIFTEEN | SIXTEEN | SEVENTEEN | EIGHTEEN | NINETEEN Turn on your JavaScript to view content Which boots from this post do I personally own? Turn on your JavaScript to view content My top top picks from all of internet land. I feel like these are the most functional, flattering and overall best investments: Turn on your JavaScript to view content I love the shape and complete functionality of number ONE, not to mention the price and color assortment! I love the fit, color and heel height of number SIXTEEN. They are easy to wear and a great Fall neutral. Also a great deal at under $150. Number TEN is exactly why these posts get me into trouble. Now I’m convinced that I NEED these. I do think that with all of the black that I wear in the Winter, these would make a nice pop of print and are an AMAZING shape. I also really love number NINETEEN as I’ve been on the hunt for a black OTK boot. For me personally a true OTK or thigh high probably suits me best in black to create a slimming line. I definitely don’t need a boot cutting me off mid thing and drawing any additional attention to that area 😉 Lastly, you already know how obsessed I am with number SIX. I wear them sooo much and am already thinking that I need a second color. Let me know what your favorites are! xo
