One Cute Embroidered Dress Worn 3 Ways! August 10, 2017 | Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to show you guys the absolute cutest dress that stopped me in my tracks last week! I *LOVE* this deep magenta color for Fall, but add a cute swing silhouette, darling back details AND embroidery and I knew that this dress had to come home with me! It’s a dress that I can wear a zillion different ways and I can even use it to transition seasons. When I’m paying over $100 for a dress (this one is $128), I have to know that I can wear it multiple ways and for multiple occasions and this one does not disappoint in the versatility department! See how I styled it for a casual day out with the kids, a date night out with the hubby AND a Fall transition look…. Fit Info: I’m 5’9 and a size 6. I’m wearing a size small in this dress and it works fine. The dress is coined a “minidress,” which I don’t fully agree with since I’m so tall. Yes, it’s a little shorter in the front than some dresses I’ve worn, but certainly nothing to fuss over. Here’s how I styled it for a casual day out with the kids! Just throw on some simple gold slides and chic baby friendly accessories and you are ready to go and looking very pulled together. I was shocked with how much I like and wear this teething necklace. Not normally a fan of them, I love that this one looks like a necklace I would wear regardless. Lawson loves playing with it and is beginning to chew on it, which is too cute. These make a great gift for new mamas, too! The answer is yes! I love love the clean black silhouette and the chic gold hard wear. It never feels like I’m carrying a diaper bag as it doesn’t scream BABY ON BOARD…which is my preference. I will tell you that the only negative is the drawstring closure. I’ve had to make a conscious effort to be diligent about closing it all of the way, which took a while. If this might be an issue for you, I would go with THIS style that has a zipper. This dress is so breezy and these sandals are so lightweight, making it such a good outfit to run around in! Here’s how you can easily dress it up a little for a date night! All I did was add a turquoise statement necklace (I’m always a sucker for pairing magenta and turquoise!), some lace up heels, and my favorite clutch! You could totally wear this to anything from a fancy dinner, to a concert and nearly every date night occasion in between. They are SO comfy. I’ll never forget that I wore them 38 weeks pregnant to Easter mass and had to stand in them for the entire 1.5 hour long service and they didn’t absolutely kill my feet. In fact, they didn’t bother me at all. The only thing that bothered me was that literally no one offered the big pregnant girl a seat. #rude. Once the weather cools, you can replace the open toe heel with a cute heeled bootie like THESE and you still have a super functional outfit for date night. You guys know that I wear this leopard clutch ALL.OF.THE.TIME…well guess what?! I found a dupe that’s only $45! Snag it ASAP because it will quickly become one of the most worn things in your closet. Details HERE. It’s hard to choose favorites because this dress is so cute for all occasions, but this Fall transition look might be my fav (probably because I’m getting so excited as Fall approaches)! I paired the dress with my new favorite flat boots (you might remember them from the Anniversary Sale) and just accessorized with a felt hat (perfect for second or third day hair, lol) and a fun new cross body bag. A pulled together look for Fall that takes very little effort…a win win in my book! This dress meets all of my criteria and I think that it’s the perfect outfit the wear for a fun day of tailgating and football. To my fellow LSU gals, snag this one ASAP…it’s the perfect dress for a Saturday night in Death Valley! Not your school color? No worries…it’s also comes in black, white, and red HERE and green and cobalt blue HERE. How cute is this new cross body bag? I love it because you can wear it on your shoulder (note the wider strap) or cross body via the thinner strap. This chambray color is a fun pop for Fall and pairs back so well to all of the Fall neutrals. I love it here especially because it pulls out the same color blue in the embroidery of the dress. At $65 it’s a great bag to buy if you want to add a fashion color into your Fall lineup. I also cannot stress enough how great these boots are! I’ve gotten SO many questions about the color of them and I totally agree with you guys that the color of the product image is a bit deceiving. They are much more true to the color in these photos. A milder, less saturated chestnut color, which makes for a wonderful neutral boot that can pair back to nearly ANYthing. If you don’t need a boot in the brown color family, these come in 3 other great neutrals as well! So there you have it…one dress 3 ways…with countless other possibilities! Truly a dress that I was excited to buy and one that I’ve already worn twice this week (see it one Instagram HERE). I loved writing this post and it reminded me that I should do them more often, so I already have another “One Dress 3 Ways” post lined up for next week! Want to take a peek at the dress I’m styling (hint: It’s gorgeous!)? See it HERE. Remember, Nordstrom always offers free shipping and hassle free returns! Want this dress for the weekend and live close to a Nordstrom store? Order it online and opt to pick it up in the store within an hour! Avoid the lines and get it same day…huge win for busy mamas! I also love that I was able to style all 3 looks head to toe with affordable pieces from Nordstrom. Truly a one stop shop for me! *This post was sponsored by Nordstrom. Judy Clark says August 11, 2017 at 7:15 AM Good Morning, Love your blog! I enjoy shopping with you especially during the Nordstrom sale! I am a proud Mama and Nana so I truly enjoy seeing your family post. I was interested in the Disney post that you did several months ago. I wanted to plan a trip for my Granddaughter next year so I emailed the person that you recommended. Any ideas on how to get them to respond. I emailed yesterday and have not heard back from them. Thanks so much, God Bless!
