Easy Blackberry Cobbler June 4, 2014 | Remember this Instagram from when I was home of my dad’s blackberry crop? Well when they are in season, so is a blackberry cobbler in my moms kitchen. She can whip up a cobbler so quickly and they are always a huge hit and so delicious. This time I finally got my hands dirty in the kitchen and learned just how easy my moms recipe is…and I had to share it with you. Trust me, you need to make this ASAP…either you will be the hit of the party or your significant other will think you basically hung the moon…it’s that yummy. So here you go…enjoy! Isn’t this amazing? My dad is the hit of the town when these babies are ripe, people set up times to come and pick. Directions: -Heat oven to 325 degrees -Mix blackberries in 1 cup sugar, let stand -Put butter in 2 qt casserole dish and place in 325 degree oven to melt -Combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk -Pour mixture over melted butter …do NOT stir -Spoon blackberries on top of batter …do NOT stir -Bake at 325 degrees for one hour (or until crust is a golden brown) -Serve warm with your favorite classic vanilla ice cream The perfect recipe to kick off summer…let me know what you think when you try it!
