Easter 2013 April 2, 2013 | I sort of dreaded yesterday. While I am so incredibly thankful for His dying and rising for our sins and everything that Easter means to my faith…this would be the first holiday in my life that I would not spend with family. Being surrounded by family on these special and joyous days are what it’s all about to me. This year I knew it wouldn’t be the case and that I would have to dress my precious baby girl up in her first Easter smock…and send photos via text. womp. womp. Needless to say, it turned out to be a great day spent with my little family and new friends here in CLT. Once again, it’s not always the way you invisioned it, but we are so blessed nonetheless. The day started off @ 6 am. It was the first day that I got all dressed up and did my hair and makeup since LK was born. It felt great…until she spit up in my freshly curled hair…then I realized why it’s pointless…ha. But geez it honestly does take an army to get things together these days. For those of you who are pretty unorganized, go with the flow people like me, it’s nearly impossible to pull these operations off. Getting myself, my husband, and an infant fed, ready and in the car to make the 10:45 service was quite the feat. Clearly on holidays, being ON TIME (which we WERE) doesn’t count, so we stood in the back…all of that effort for nothing LOL. LK was an angel. We then headed Uptown to meet my dear friend Amy, her husband and adorable little boy for brunch. It was absolutely delicious…can you say battered fried waffles?! Check yes! After that we came home for a breather and then headed over to another friends house for company and desserts. It was a perfect day…and while we missed our families terribly…we have a lot to be thankful for here in Charlotte too 🙂 Chloe finds her way into almost every photo. Sweet puppy. Obviously the Easter Bunny got a little carried away 😉 I hope that you had a fabulous Easter filled with lots of love and laughter!
