Bright + Bold Baby Girl Nursery Reveal! May 10, 2017 | Today’s the day!!! The big baby girl nursery reveal!!! I literally cannot believe that we pulled it off as this was one of the most ambitious projects I’ve taken on to date. If you’re catching up, I started on this room at 36 weeks pregnant (hello, second child…right?!) and vowed to have it done by her arrival. I did some good pre-planning, hired out a few things, took some major hits to my wallet on rush shipping and forced my husband into some DIYs against his will to get it all done, but here we are with a finished room and a two week old baby who occupies it (not really, she sleeps in our room who am I kidding?!)! Although it wasn’t *fully* done by her arrival (she came over a week early), it was definitely almost there and we just had to put a few finishing touches on it and have it photographed, so the hardest parts were behind us. To read all about my vision for the room start here: Week 1 (Design Plans) HERE | Week 2 (Updated Childproof Electrical Outlets) HERE | Week 3 (DIY Ikea Hack Dresser) HERE | Week 4 HAD A BABY | Week 5 (Art + Framing Selections) HERE So, here we go…Lawson’s Bright and Bold Nursery Reveal as part of the One Room Challenge… This might be my favorite view in our whole home! I love how Hayley Mitchell’s le Lady Lula print looks over the classic white Jenny Lind crib! I also initially thought that I would go with a more one dimensional sconce, but am SO happy that I with with these more 3D swing arm sconces. Can you believe that they are from Lowe’s for under $30?!! I simply spray painted them and added to acrylic finials. Once I decided on purple, I knew that I wanted to mix it with blue. I’m loving the combination lately and when I saw Kravet’s Amapola Cornflower fabric in these rich blues it was love at first sight. The bold floral print makes a statement against the purple and I like how it’s sophisticated yet still playful. I found the BEST price on this fabric at DecoratorsBest! If you are in the market for the best designer fabrics at prices that cannot be beat, you should check out their selection HERE. Adrienne is an amazing seamstress and has an awesome eye for design Bohemian Tribal Rug + Sheepskin Rug + Light Fixture (you won’t believe the price) | Cornice Boxes (DIY) | Cornice Box Fabric (Kravet via DecoratorsBest) | Basic White Drapes The rug really really hung me up. I tried an overdyed (too pink) and a solid navy one with a white border (too heavy). When I saw this boho rug, I knew that it could potentially work. It didn’t call out a specific color too heavily, but also tied them all together. Aside from that it’s an amazing price! Storage Basket Options: Turn on your JavaScript to view content Crib (My favorite! We used this same one with Landry, too!) | Crib Skirt Fabric (Kravet via DecoratorsBest) | Crib Mattress | Doc-A-Tot | Monogrammed Throw | Swing Arm Sconces -> Spray Paint This time we opted for a foam crib mattress. It’s hypoallergenic and feels so much more comfortable than the coiled crib mattress that we used for Landry! Glider + Recliner One of my favorite parts of the room is this new glider. I love it for so many reasons, but i’ll start from the beginning. It gets near perfect reviews. It was able to be shipped via standard shipping services and did not require white glove delivery. It came in one box and was such an easy assemble. It’s super comfortable and hello…IT RECLINES! Both the hubby and I love it and I’m sure that we will spend many a night here 😉 Want to know how easy it is to make an Ikea dresser looks like this? See THIS post!
