Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Best Workwear

Good Morning Friends! Wow, what a crazy few days! I am still overwhelmed by your support, how many new people I’ve met and how much you guys love a good sale like I do! I hope that you’ve already scored some fab deals for Fall before the sold out, if you haven’t…not to worry, there’s still time!

I asked for your feedback and got lots of requests for more workwear from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Whoops, I totally agree…my initial picks were much more geared towards casual wear! Okay, I went on a hunt for you workin’ gals and came back with almost 40 picks! I have no say, while I love the picks that I ended up using, the hunt wasn’t easy. I know that you guys want to look chic while getting the job done and man a lot of the options are BOR-ing! I tried to pick stylish, versatile, comfortable and budget friendly pieces that you can wear for seasons to come. I broke it down into two categories… Office wear for those of you who have a polished dress code or who might be required to wear suiting and Teacher wear for those of you who are teachers (or just have a more lax dress code at work) who have a less strict dress code, but still want to look professional.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Office Wear:

This tote is the perfect work tote..clean, classic and large enough to fit a small laptop in. A great deal on Tory Burch!

This beauty kit by Trish McEvoy is high quality and gives you a full routine for under $200.

Love this bold statement necklace to dress up black work attire or a tired suit.

These little leopard tassel flats also come in quite a few neutral colors, but I think that this leopard pair adds the perfect pop of fun to a workwear outfit.

This bow front blouse is absolutely one of my top picks. I own it and will do a full outfit post with it next week, but in the meantime trust me and buy it. It’s cute by itself with a cute skirt or paired with slim slacks and a fitted blazer

I have this ruffle pleat cardigan on BOTH boards because I love it so much! It comes in the black and a light grey/white option. I can see this as a piece draped over your office chair that you wear 24-7. I also love it paired back to distressed denim…so a work to weekend piece for sure!

This white bow front blouse is a bit of an investment but I think totally worth it. It’s a good neutral to throw on with any of your existing suiting or skits and it adds some fashion to your workplace vibe.

This little funnel neck blouse is so great for layering. It has enough style detail to be worn alone, but is also great for layering under cardigans or blazers.

This skirt is SO cute and such a great price! I love that it’s neutral enough to still something like a bright pink blouse and a black blazer with or even a bright red sweater. Such a great find at under $50!

This drape front blazer is so on trend and super chic. Don’t be afraid to steer away from black, pair this winter white option with a beautiful camel colored wool slack or a pleated leather skirt. I can also see you throwing this on with a pair of skinny jeans for a weekend date night!

These are absolute power boots for work. Black, suede, and over the knee…yes yes yes! I love the clean lines and obviously the price! Wear them with a work friendly dress or skirt and again on the weekends. A great investment all around.

These flats come in 3 colors and I think that they are worth buying in at least two for office wear. The snakeskin is my favorite because they work as a stylish neutral, but the black could probably be worn daily. They are Cole Haan so you can ensure that they are the most comfortable!

Can we all agree that a good trench coat is a workplace staple? Especially if you commute, right?! This camel colored Ralph Lauren option is classic but does not lack style details. I adore it and this is an awesome price for a piece that you’ll wear for seasons to come!

This dress is SO flattering (see below)! I put it on with fairly low expectations and ended up LOVING it! It’s double lined and thicker than I expected so that it doesn’t show any bumps, lumps, etc. The print is designed to flatter a woman’s shape and I cannot get over the price. Change it up by throwing a black turtleneck sweater over it and wearing it as a skirt.

Cute cute cute! Who says you can’t look adorable and still be at work?? Wear this with the pink flats from the board below or with tights and a black Mary Jane heel. This also works as a wonderful Sunday Best dress!

One of my top picks (see below!). This is such a flattering and fun dress and the color is amazing for Fall. Wear it to work with tights and a black blazer or to Fall baby/wedding showers with a leopard heel. This is definitely coming to my closet!

To all of my teacher friends…first, can I just say Thank You!!! I mean, I have absolutely no idea how you do it other than by the grace of God and wonderful gifts of patience, kindness and peace. So, thank you thank you for teaching our babies. That said, I know comfort is probably key, right? I pulled some pieces that are comfortable, flattering, easy to layer, not too loud, but ones that you can easily play up with accessories…

All of these tops have at least one stylish detail, I’ve tried them all on at some point and think that they are very flattering for everyday wear (also not revealing at all) and can be layered and worn so many different ways. Skirts, pants, jeans, work, casual…you name it. A great time to stock up on these basics…I mean all under $40!! Most come in a rainbow of colors, too!
