::Beauty:: Product Review: Rimmel BB Cream July 17, 2013 | As with everything else in my life, my make-up routine has definitely changed each morning. With a 5 month old, I have a very little window to spruce up and surely don’t have time to put on a “full face” as I like to call it. I am lucky if I have time to wash, exfoliate, and try to even out/brighten my skin tone with some foundation. Of course, there’s tons of buzz around BB creams…which I must admit I had to google what BB even meant. After I did, and learned that these concoctions were sort of an “all in one” makeup, I was more than intrigued. Should it work, this could really be just what I needed. Needless to say, I wasn’t about to pay $45-$50 for something that seemed too good to be true anyway. So, after a bit of research and some great beauty reviews, I decided to try out Rimmel’s 9-in-1 BB cream with SPF 25. Of course I was hesitant of using such an inexpensive drugstore brand on my skin, but I was blown away by how much I liked this product…especially for its $6 price tag! I mix it with a bit of my regular foundation (not because I need to, but for color issues…see below in cons) and absolutely LOVE what it does for my skin. I truly feel like it does everything I need it to and cuts out a TON of steps, that I would otherwise not have the time for anyway. It is a great moisturizer (my face feels dewy and soft), a lovely primer (my powder and bronzer stay put all day), a great mattifier (humidity be gone), evens out and brightens my skin tone, offers great coverage (and DO I ever need it with all of these hormones) oh and there’s even a 25 SPF Broad Spectrum sunscreen in there! Signed. Sealed. Delivered. Now I am able to cleanse and exfoliate, apply BB cream, a bit of under-eye concealer, and bronzer and I am ready to go! AMEN! Pros: Mentioned above Also, easy to apply. I now use my hands to apply makeup, you know for sure that they are clean and don’t have to fuss with make-up brush cleaning and the bacteria that they fester. Cons: A little heavy/creamy. For those of you lucky ladies who don’t regularyly wear foundation…this might feel a bit heavy. A hint of suncreen scent. Doesn’t bother me now because it reminds me of summer! Very few color options. As with most BB Creams there are only 3 color options (Light, Medium and Dark). I picked up Medium and it’s a bit dark, so I mix it with a hint of my regular foundation to brighten it up and avoid streaks. Honestly, I should probably just buy the “light” and mix the two. For me, the pro’s definitely outweigh the cons, which is why I thought that I’d share with you! Cheers to summer skin… These are all my personal opinions as this is not a sponsored post…just a product I geniunely love.
