Landry’s Back to School Lookbook

Switching it up today and in honor of the first few days of August I’m sharing a Back to School Look Book post (gasp)!! I’ll be chatting quite a bit about BTS inspiration over the next few weeks, but as I start to get my mind around Landry’s Fall wardrobe, I thought that it would be fun to start by sharing her Back to School Look Book with you guys. I’m also teaming up with some of my favorite blogger babes on this post, so that’s always fun! Amber created and kicked off this Back to School Week series yesterday and everyone’s posts have been so fun and informative…everything from DIY to organization and Back to School Style. Here’s the scoop on Back to School: you guys know that Landry goes to a Church school 4 days a week, so we truly do have to keep school clothes in mind. They need to be comfortable, washable and CUTE (#duh)! This year I’m running into more of a hurdle than I expected because she has officially outgrown “toddler” and is now in “girls” sizing wearing a Small. Yes, she’s only 3. Yes, she’s off the charts tall. We know. The problem is that the girls clothing looks a lot less “cutesy” and a lot more “grown up.” It’s making me really sad because I don’t want her in clothes or styles that are too mature, so I’m really having to shop around to come up with some age appropriate outfits that also meet all of our Back to School criteria. Here’s some fun outfit inspo and what I’m using as a shopping guide…

Key Pieces:

Cool Sneakers: I don’t think that I can resist buying her the hottest shoe of the season. She’s definitely getting the Stan Smiths and now I just need to decide if I’m going with CLASSIC WHITE or LEOPARD (omg)!

Boyfriend Denim: I can’t even handle babies in distressed boyfriend denim. This is a little bit of a splurge pair, but this is a cute steal pair!

Plaid: Loving a cute dose of plaid and I think that this shirt dress is going to be the winner for my little lady.

Cotton Dresses: I love easy cotton dresses to pair back to tights for school days. They are comfy, cute and most importantly easily washable. Tea Collection is my absolute go-to brand for great back to school dresses.

Boots: Ahh there are so many boots that I love, but these fringe high tops and these glitter booties are both to die for. How does one choose?
