Back to School with Shoe Carnival | Part II

Back today with Part II of our Back to School series with Shoe Carnival. Remember last week we talked about one shoe that always tops both Landry and I’s shopping this in THIS POST? Today we are chatting about another brand that’s always on our Back to School shopping list and dishing why we think that Shoe Carnival has the very best selection of Nike for the entire family.

On days where I don’t have any meetings, I’m usually working from Starbucks so I’m forced to look somewhat presentable for school drop off. My go-to is either yoga tights and a tunic or boyfriend jeans and a tank, both paired with my favorite athleisure shoe the Nike Court Royale. It’s the perfect casual shoe, because it doesn’t look like I’m going to the gym (not trying to fool anyone there…ha!), but it also says that I want to look stylish and still be comfortable. I wear them with anything from a swing dress to jogging pants. If you haven’t given in to the low top white sneaker trend yet, I would definitely suggest trying these!

After two years of school for Landry I’ve given up all hope on frilly dresses and super cute outfits on the daily. I now opt for cute, comfortable and WASHABLE clothes because some days she comes home and looks like she’s been through the Ultimate Warrior Race of finger paint. She’s really into athletic clothes (she says “I dress like Mommy”…sigh!) and sneakers and I’m finally on board! Every year she gets to pick out a new pair of Nike’s and this year was especially fun because she got to choose a pair with LACES!

Of course the pair of Nike’s that she chose were carefully coordinated to match her new backpack. The Nike Flex is a super lightweight running shoe for Kids and I kinda want a pair in my size. She says that they make her “run at lightning speed” and I approve of them because they have a full mesh upper and are really breathable, which is great for us since it doesn’t really cool off here until late October.

Getting new shoes for Back to School is one of my favorite memories…in fact, I’ll never forget my first pair of Air Maxes going into 5th grade! What Nike shoes do you guys buy over and over? My husband wears THESE almost daily and now that I wear mine all of the time, he’s totally eyeing the Men’s Court Royale!
