Hostess With the Mostess With JCPenney + Air Fryer Brie Recipe December 15, 2019 | *This post is sponsored by JCPenney and ShopStyle. Today I’m partnering with JCPenney and I’m giving you an easy and inexpensive formula to be Hostess with the Mostess this Holiday season! I finally caved and bought an air fryer and am making the most delicious air fryer brie recipe for you guys to entertain with over the next few weeks! I’m also showing you the cutest outfit all from JCPenney so that you can look darling, stay on budget and allocate more budget to entertaining friends and family! Hostess With the Mostess With JCPenney: Air Fryer | Ivory Sweater with Pearl Detail | Sequin Leopard Skirt | Black Heels First, let’s talk outfit! The entire thing (sweater and skirt!) are around $45 and it looks like a million bucks! The sweater is a plush, soft cable knit, with chic balloon sleeves and delicate pearl embellishments. It’s a great TTS fit (I’m wearing a S) and is priced under $30, which is a STEAL for this quality you guys! The skirt is leopard print with a full layer of clean sequins sewn on top. It gives just the right amount of shimmer and shine to make it feel special, without being over the top. It’s a pull on elastic waist and is super easy to wear. I’m wearing a small here but would recommend sizing down for the best fit! I paired the set with a simple, classic black pump and felt comfortable enough to entertain in, but festive enough for the Holidays! Now let’s get to this recipe goodness!!! Y’all I was hesitant to buy an air fryer! The counter space it takes up, having another big contraption and also learning how to use something else was all together intimidating. BUT I’ve really never heard a bad review about having one, so I have to admit I was intrigued. Not only does it offer a healthy alternative to deep frying food, but it makes achieving the fried taste and texture easy and mess free. I pulled the trigger on this COOKS air fryer at JCPenney on Black Friday for a steal of a deal and am SO glad that I got one. The first recipe that I tried in it was this brie wheel and it totally knocked my socks off. If anyone on your list loves to cook or may be interested in an air fryer, THIS one is such a great option. It’s large enough to cook for a family but can also be stored in the pantry or a cabinet when needed. Here’s the super easy, no fail recipe that’s absolutely perfect for Holiday entertaining! Air Fryer Brie You’ll need: -Brie Wheel (without rind) -Fruit preserves (I chose raspberry) -Sprinkle of brown sugar -Roasted, chopped pecans -Puff Pastry (thawed) Directions: Pre-heat air fryer to 380′ Place puff pastry on a greased sheet of foil that will fit into the fryer tray Roll out puff pastry, place brie at center Layer on a generous amount of fruit preserves Top with chopped pecans Sprinkle with brown sugar I cut a round piece of puff pastry to place on top of the brie so that all areas were enclosed and nothing melted out. Fold the brie up in the puff pastry, pinching closed at seams. Brush lightly with an egg or melted butter wash Place in air fryer for 15 minutes at 380′ OH MY GOSH IT CAME OUT SO GOOD! Ta-dah! In under 15 minutes I now have this beautiful appetizer that’s certain to be a crowd pleaser! I served it with a variety of sweet and salty crackers and garnished it with seasonal berries and stems. I am so impressed with the power of this air fryer for the price and cannot wait to try so many more recipes! If you’ve been contemplating an air fryer, this one from JCPenney is certainly worth adding to your list. The recipe options are endless and easy! If you already own an air fryer, you certainly can’t go wrong with this outfit for the price, so really it’s a win win situation! Other fun kitchen gifts to give:
