A Long Overdue Life Update!

Tap tap—is this mic still on? It’s been nearly 2 years since I’ve written a blog post and to be honest with you, I didn’t even remember how to log in. If you’d told me that I’d walk away from the very platform that built a business for me, I would have never ever believed you. As the time has passed and as the crazy of managing and building the Shop has quelled ever so slightly, I’ve felt a little tug to write again. To share old school and off the cuff and in my own little space. Perhaps this space can be an authentic place to share both personal posts and style posts? That’s my prayer. Anyway, I’m not going to recap two year for you, but here are a few highlights of what’s happened over the past two years…

The girls have grown up! Landry just turned 10 and Lawson will be 6 in April. I cannot believe it! We moved them both to the same school and have been really really happy with our decision. Landry is rounding out 4th grade and moves to middle school next year and Lawson has loved her Kindergarten year! They also both LOVE volleyball. Landry also really likes horses and Lawson loves soccer. They are both in choir at church and continue to grown in their faith—it’s been a joy to watch!

The Shop has grown exponentially and I am just so proud of the team surrounding us and the amazing community of women that shop with us. It’s truly a privilege that I don’t often feel deserving of. We moved to our third (and hopefully FINAL!) warehouse last June and have been settling in and making it our own! Our app is growing and we love how it offer customers a personalized way to shop. I am able to give on the spot styling and fit advice as well as connect with customers on a 1-1 basis over the screen. It’s truly a JOY! The most exciting part is that this year we are taking on building out our own label!!! From design to production, we are learning as we go and it’s been SO fun to work on. SSYS the Label now makes up ALL of our activewear assortment and we hope that it’s around 30-40% of our total assortment by the end of the year!!!!!

Dan and I feel like we have entered a bit of a new phase of parenthood and are fully out of the toddler stage. We are enjoying more date nights, concerts and trips. We have tried to dive in head first to our new church and various ministries and have loved the experience. We even went to Israel after Christmas and had a life changing experience (I’m pretty sure I’m going to write a full post on this)!

There are approximately a gillion more things that I want to share and photos I’d like to post, but I promised myself to ease back into it all. This is a good highlight of where we’ve been for the last two years. I’m going to publish several style posts monthly too, so if there’s something more style or Shop related that you’d like to see—shoot me a message.
