You guys, my girl is growing up and finished with her first year of school (aka Mother’s Day Out)! I was so hesitant to put her in to begin with…I kept thinking…,
“Mallory, you left a job you loved to be a full-time mom…is this not what you wanted?!” “Why would you want to give up this time with her and waste precious memories??”
But let me just tell you, all of that whizzed out the door when I saw her continually run into her classroom and into the arms of her teachers. This year she’s experienced incredible mental and social growth and I know that school has helped to foster that so much. She’s learned learning to share, to pay attention, to color, to sing songs, recite the alphabet, count to 20, her shapes, colors, sight words, social skills…the list goes on and I know it has a ton to do with the structure of her little school and the amazing teachers we were blessed with (Christy and Rebecca if you’re reading this…you already know how much we love you, but here it is again :)) In the mean time, I’ve been able to work from home for Project Nursery and also grow this little blog of mine (with your help, of course!). It’s been such a perfect scenario for her and I and I am so thankful for deciding to move forward with it.
All of that being said, it’s that time of year where you show the teachers who took such great care of your kids this year just how much you appreciate them. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite teacher gifts below…most that span over quite a few age groups, are specific to summer fun and travel and nearly all under $100! Happy shopping!
