The Friday Edit October 28, 2016 | I write this Friday Edit so humbled by your support this week. More people came to the blog this week than any other week before and I’m so thankful that you took the time out of your day to share in our joy. To be completely honest, I was 100% panicked about sharing our pregnancy announcement on the blog. I kept pushing it back, simply because it felt so scary. What if something happens? What if there are readers struggling with infertility? What if I’m not as graceful of a pregnancy person as you guys might expect? So many thoughts racing through my mind because as much as this platform is a huge blessing, it can also be a curse by way of making you second guess every move you make. So all of that to say, in the end, I really appreciate your support, kind words and encouragement…we are all over the moon! Obviously the Top Post was out BIG NEWS! Landry stole the show of course and I was so excited that you guys got to share in her reaction when she found out that she would finally be a big sister. Those photos will forever be in my treasure box…I love them so. See the full post HERE. My Dress | This is part of a “Tall” line, so it is a really long dress. I have 3” heels on here and I’m 5’9, so you really get a feel for the length. IMO it’s 100% worth buying and hemming and there’s PLENTY of room for a bump, but it’s also flattering without one and is a non-maternity dress. Dan: Sweater | Chambray Button Up | Chinos | His favorite shoes! Landry: Dress | Fur Vest | Fringe Booties The second most popular post was the 20 piece capsule wardrobe. I am still seriously blown away by your reaction to this post! You’ve shared it with your friends, taken it to heart and have given me so much positive feedback…I’m kicking myself for not thinking of it sooner! If you missed it, I worked really hard to narrow down my Top 20 Favorite Fall Basics and made them into a capsule wardrobe perfect for busy mamas! All in all, there are over 175 outfit suggestions in the post and you’ll be shocked at the price tag for the whole capsule! See the full post HERE or shop the board below. Instagram: I’ve been trying some new things on Instagram and you guys seem to be responding. I posted this #ootd and you went nuts over it. Funny enough, the plaid shirt and distressed denim are also a part of the capsule wardrobe post. Plaid Button Up | Puffer Vest | Denim | Chucks | Earrings | Hat I finally got my sweater in that I raved about last week and literally wore it the next day. It’s a chunky knit, boyfriend fit and I love the thick ribbing on the hem and sleeves. Hello, it’s still $25, too…no brainer. Sweater | Denim | Over the Knee Boots Stay tuned for a FULL October Insta roundup coming Monday! Link Love: Did you guys see this gorgeous modern kitchen reveal from Emily Henderson this week? Swoon! Swoon! Swoon! Two things… first, the breakfast nook is so similar in feeling to ours which I thought was fun. I just got the photos back and I cannot wait to share the reveal! Next, I have a confession. I am so gravitating away from my all white kitchen dreams. Yep, I said it. I’m so drawn to the muted greys, and greens trending in kitchens right now and totally see myself venturing down that path, should a kitchen remodel be in our future! Are you following along on my Home Wish List board on Pinterest? It’s basically everything I’d want for a dream home and I’m having a blast pinning to it…I mean a girl can dream, right? I found these custom lucite handrails while browsing the Internets and had to take a few deep breaths. How good?? So glam, clean and a very welcomed different than the traditional ugly wooden handrails. Find them HERE. Remember when I DIY’d our lucite curtain rods in our Master Bedroom? Yep, still one of my favorite projects in our home! You can bet your last dime that if I was’t going to be rocking a baby bump this Holiday season I would be buying this sequin jumpsuit for any and every Holiday party on my calendar! OMGGG I’m obsessed! It comes in 4 sequin colors, too. I mean, you’ll be the star of the show no doubt! Shop it HERE. While you’re at it, scoop up these glam statement earrings!!! Wear it over a simple white tee I have been debating these gorgeous velvet pumps for over a month now…should I pull the trigger??? I love that they incorporate two of the Fall’s hottest trends 1) a rich berry color + 2) VELVET! …A great shoe for Fall + Holiday! Looking for a cute hostess gift to bring over on Thanksgiving Day?
