Red Swing Dress for Now + Later!

First, can we talk about how I’m really happy that red is the “it” color for Fall. I love love love red and think that it pairs SO well with all of my Fall neutrals like camel and black. It’s also the perfect “pop” color that makes transitioning from Summer to Fall a bit easier…allowing you to still wear a fun summer lip and bright accessories and slowly tone it down as the weather cools. When I saw THIS bright red swing dress I know that it would be perfect for now AND later and I couldn’t wait to style it for you guys!

For September, I paired it with these oh so perfect (seriously, I’m convinced they are flawless), suede block heel booties, a statement necklace, an optional floppy felt hat and a bold lip. A great outfit for an outdoor event, date night, or even a casual work environment. For later, layer a striped turtle neck underneath, pair it with over the knee boots and throw a denim jacket on top and you have a completely transitional look.

I shared a little about this necklace on Instagram a few days ago, but it’s safe to say that I’m super obsessed. Since bright prints are winding down, I love to accessorize with bold statement necklaces and this one exceeded even my highest expectations. It’s really two necklaces sold as one. The very top crystal piece is actually a choker that can be worn alone. I’ve worn it solo or paired with another black suede choker and I love the look of the crystals set in pewter for Fall. The larger bib is the statement piece and takes even a simple t-shirt to the next level. So, in total, you can wear the necklace 3 ways, which is amazing.

Throw on a floppy felt hat as the weather cools to add some more fun to the look!
