Halloween+Our Weekend November 4, 2013 | Good(Monday)morning, ya’ll! Filling you in on baby girls very first Halloween and our weekend happenings! When it came time to choose a Halloween costume LK’s first choice was to go as her pup sister Chloe. Remember the dilemma between which one to choose? Well we went with option two. It could not have been more adorable! She was super skeptical at first and did the “I’m frozen and can’t move” thing for a while trying to figure out what on earth she was wearing. In the end, she was OKAY with it but definitely not super enthused. I, on the other hand, ATE.IT.UP. I mean a blue eyed poodle?! I can’t. Jamie was gracious enough to invite us over to her neighbored to join in the trick or treating festivities. D was working late so it worked out great. Look at her and her buddy Jay aka Superman ridin’ along! Aren’t they precious?! It’s hard to believe Jamie and I met almost exactly a year ago big and prego in birthing class….now we have these two sweet peas in Halloween costumes. Make time stop. The Bobcats opened Friday night (with a W, I might add) so LK and I hung out while daddy worked. But Saturday morning we were up bright and early to walk in the ADA walk with D’s work team. It was an early morning (note huge under eye bags) but the weather was beautiful and they had a great turn out! she’s totally plotting to steal my granola bar. After the walk, I found myself in Nordstrom. Seriously, how does this always happen? (wink). Anyway, I’ve been putting off jean shopping and decided to try some on while I was there and had D to keep baby girl occupied. Ya’ll I found THE jeans. The perfect jeans. Um and they were $78. Come back later this week for all the deets! Saturday night after we put LK down, we snuck out for a date night! I shopped for my dream car at the Bentley Charlotte grandopening party and then we treated ourselves to a very late dinner. YUM! Although at some point during our time out LK did wake up and apparently was not happy, as when we came home she was snuggled up on the couch sleeping ON the sitter. I cried. Sunday was a total lazy day. I had my favorite crock pot recipe going and we D somehow managed to rake up all of the leaves in our yard. Get this, its not even a quarter of an acre and he FILLED over 10 yard bags. Poor guy…it’s going to be a long fall for him and the leaf blower. please dont ever let me forget how much we love bathtime. Happy Monday loves.
