Staying Creative: The Modern Bazaar January 12, 2015 | I’m so happy to be introducing you guys to Jen from The Modern Bazaar today! I stumbled upon her Etsy shop by a stoke of good luck and immediately fell in love with her beautiful, handcrafted coordinate pieces. I then promptly sent the site to my mom as a not so subtle Christmas gift idea and she was sweet enough to oblige and I received 3 of Jens beautiful coordinate bracelets in my stocking! I am absolutely in love with them for their meaning of course (remember I shared this Instagram about their meaning) but also because they are so delicate and versatile that I can just add them to my stacking routine. I adopted my two children from Russia and had the latitude and longitude of the place I adopted them from tattooed on the back of my neck. This later inspired me to create jewelry that could commemorate special events for people.” She went on to say how hearing each persons story and sentiment that goes along with their personalized piece of jewelry keeps her inspired and also makes designing and handcrafting each piece even more memorable. Jen’s creative path and love for jewelry making started when she modernized her grandmother’s screw back earrings as a child. She now says that when she wears her grandmothers timeless pieces she’s reminded of her elegant beauty and enormous sense of pride. Isn’t Jen’s story so inspiring? It’s funny how we find comfort in the simple numbers that represent places closest to us or ones that hold our most precious memories?
