Bucket Bags 101 January 22, 2015 | This Spring I’m stepping away from my safe, go-to hand bag silhouettes (cross body, tote, hobo) and into the trendy bucket bag. I have been so hesitant to try one because honestly, the whole drawstring situation looked real fussy and not practical for me (ie a mom on the go, who also needs her bag to double as a diaper bag/toddler lunchbox). On a whim, I picked up a cute and very inexpensive bucket bag at Marshalls to give the whole situation a test drive. After two weeks, I must say that I am hooked. The drawstring helps keep everything contained and is no fussier than a zipper and I can actually fit a lot more into the bag than I expected. The cross-body strap is also right up my alley and perfect to throw on and go. Now I’m on the hunt for a go-to bucket bag for Spring and I thought that I would share my tops picks with you. Which one do you love best? JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. One // Tory Burch Thea Drawstring Bucket Bag Tory Burch really does make the best cognac colored leather in my opinion and this bag is so great to carry as a neutral year around. Two // Elizabeth and James Cynnie Quilted Bucket Bag A beautiful pop of pink that’s not too loud, but a really fun addition to your Spring wardrobe. Three // Mansur Gavriel Definitely the “IT” bag of the moment, this beautiful bucket bag has contrast leather inside and is so beautifully made. It comes in a variety of gorgeous colors, all of which are sold out until March. Four // GiGi New York Jen Bucket Bag I love the neutral color and embossed python detail of this bag. Overall, I really like the shape best too and it’s a great value. Five // Sole Society Quentin For under $50, this bag is a total steal, especially if you think that the Bucket Bag trend is fleeting or you only want to dip one toe in this spring. Six // Saint Laurent Medium Bucket Bag A total splurge, but an absolutely beautiful one. Love the gold hardware and understated branding…such a classic. Seven // Loeffler Randall Love this spotty print and think that it’s the perfect punch of pattern to compliment nearly any outfit! Thanks for shopping with me…will keep you updated on which route I go! Shop the Post: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

Shannon says January 23, 2015 at 6:28 AM I am so in love with these bags. Every time I pick one up in a store, my husband stops me and asks, "really?" Yes, really, honey…this is happening. Get with it. 😉
