The Best Sheets + Pillows PLUS, How I Back Sleep! May 4, 2020 | Today’s post has probably been one of the most requested as of late and I finally hit publish!!! I found the most amazing sheets and pillows and it’s really taken our bedding and sleep to the next level! I’m also spilling the tea on how and why I sleep on my back, plus some tips and tricks for you to try it! Back in January, I got on stories and mentioned how disappointed I was in the “Amazon sheets” that everyone has been recommending and most of you absolutely agreed that they were terrible quality and a waste of money, albeit inexpensive. So I went on a hunt for what I felt were the best of the best sheets out there and I’m pretty sure I found them! We are totally enjoying our upgraded bedding and the extra sleep is totally worth the investment! Here’s what we are loving: The Best Bedding + Sheets Euro Shams | Bedding / Duvet | Antelope Euros | Monogrammed Pillows | Similar Velvet Lumbar | Similar Mirrors | Similar Lamps | Similar Night Stands | Similar Bed Here’s a quick view of our Master Bedroom set up. I’ve updated a few things since I linked it all last, so I refreshed the sources and also sourced a few similar items if others were sold out. It’s been 5 years with the big pieces (dressers, lamps, mirrors, bed, and most of the bedding) and I still LOVE it all—so that’s always a good sign. I can’t see updating it any time soon, so that makes me really happy that I’m able to enjoy a design for 5+ years! If you want to see the original post about the MBR (it’s actually from our old home, but works here too), see THIS POST. Most recently, I added these antelope print euros (about a year ago) and the unexpected neutral print really freshened things up. They are from Etsy, super affordable, and come in quite a few colors. Pajamas | Antelope Euros Turn on your JavaScript to view content Our New Fav Sheets: Ok y’all. We bought the sheets that many of you suggested and they absolutely, positively live up to the hype! I had never heard of them before and was very intrigued. Needless to say, we’ve been sleeping in them for 4 months now and are officially obsessed!!! They’re 100% cotton, so breathable, cooling and just the right softness. It’s important to note that they are made of long staple cotton in a sateen weave, making them feel more luxe and silky. They’re very low maintenance and can be washed and dried easily. I use a little of THIS wash diluted with any free and clear detergent for the most luxurious smelling, fresh sheets. We purchased the Luxe Core Sheet Set in Cream and that’s what you see below. Below is our pillow set up and you can adjust based on your preference of incline. In the Winter I try to sleep with two pillows on top of each other, to keep my sinuses draining (gross, but it actually totally works) and in the Summer, I drop down to one because it’s a little more comfy. Coop Pillows | SLIP Pillowcases | Inexpensive Silk Pillowcases on Amazon | Luxe Sheets | Mattress Cover Not only did I find the most amazing sheets, but I also found game changing pillows!!!! I bought the king size Coop pillows on Amazon and we are BEYOND impressed with them. They feel like luxe hotel pillows and I look forward to my head hitting mine every single night. They are a microfiber + memory foam blend but don’t feel choppy at all. They also come with extra filling so that you can add and remove filling to get your perfect feel. At $65, I thought that they were definitely a splurge, but now I’ll never look back. I plan to update all of our beds with them gradually. Find them on Amazon HERE. On the pillow that my head actually sleeps on, I use the SLIP pillowcase and have for years. It reduces sleep wrinkles, doesn’t absorb any nighttime product and reduces tangles in your hair. I also use these silk scrunchies from Amazon to help reduce hair breakage. Benefits of Back Sleeping: Ok, I’m spilling the tea. I’ve been sleeping on my back after being pregnant with Lawson (oddly enough, it was the only way I was comfy PP)and it’s really been a game changer. I never really knew it was a “thing” until recently, so I thought I’d share what I do to get comfortable in case you are an aspiring back sleeper. Before we get started here’s a quick rundown of the benefits of back sleeping: keeps your spine aligned reduces tension headaches helps chronic conditions by reducing pressure and compression relieves sinus buildup avoid creases, wrinkles, and irritated facial skin If I’m being honest, I’ll tell you that back sleeping is definitely a learned habit. It takes practice for at least 1-2 weeks to really develop a love for it. So this is my fair warning that you’re probably not going to love it on the first few tries—but trust me, it’s totally worth it! I sleep so much better, don’t wake up with any sleep creases and I truly feel more rested. Of course, some nights, I do end up on my side, but more often than not I wake up just as I fell asleep and that’s on my back Coop Pillows | Silk Pillowcase | Weighted Blanket Tips for Back Sleeping: Experiment with what feels best for you pillow wise. To the dismay of my husband, I use pillows to sort of make a “nest” if you will. I’ve always slept with pillows on either side of me, but they are particularly handy for back sleeping. This way I’m able to give my arms some support. This may totally be too much for some, but I love the cozy feel. Think of it like mummy sleeping. Lie on your back, cross your arms over your chest Buy some sort of weighted blanket to keep yourself in place. This is key. You won’t always need it (now I just use my duvet), but it totally helps keep you on your back and I really do believe in the calming effects of a weighted blanket. I linked the exact one that I have, but there are also cheaper options at Target HERE. Choose the pillow incline that feels best. I alternate between 1 and 2. I also randomly feel like wearing socks helps me get a good nights sleep (or at least fall asleep faster) I keep our room at 67′ at night. I realize that all of this sounds like a lot, but trust me you’ll get a better night’s sleep and spend less money on Botox trying to fix sleep lines! Let me know if you have any questions below 🙂 Whew, that was a lot in one post! I hope that you enjoyed it, as I know that we are certainly enjoying the extra sleep! xoxo

Katy says May 4, 2020 at 8:57 PM Ironically I just got a Coop pillow this weekend from Amazon. I wanted to sleep with it last night but it was so stinky. Like chemica smell. I’ve let it air out today but still there some. Did you have any issues with that??
Style Your Senses says May 4, 2020 at 9:04 PM Yes! Put it in the dryer on low for 15-20 minutes and/or use a steamer on it. It fades quickly and I think they are certified GREEN
