Today we are talking all about jeans! Denim is going through a transition right now and it’s leaving a lot of you scratching your heads as to what you need in your closet, what’s in style and what denim trends are actually worth investing in. Skinny jeans have had a strong style run for about 10 years now, but they are finally losing some steam and wider legs and cropped lengths are making a major comeback—which I am SO happy about! I love a flattering skinny jean, but found myself feeling so bored with the look day in and day out. For the past two years, I’ve worn only black skinny jeans about 99% of the time because that’s how blah I feel about a traditional dark wash skinny. I’ve finally found 3 pairs of jeans that aren’t the traditional skinny jean, are all easy to wear and functional for moms and are absolutely worth the investment, imo. Today I’m detailing them all and styling them for Fall and Winter. I think you’re going to like them, too!

Let me preface by saying that I know which denim brands that I like and I am ok with making an investment in jeans. I believe that a well fit pair of jeans are virtually priceless, but I will also link some alternative styles at the bottom if you want to ease into any of these trends budget wise.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know that I’ve been wearing the heck out of these jeans. They are one of my top 5 favorite purchases of 2019 and I know that I will continue to reach for them. Anytime I have a reason to get remotely dressed up, I reach for these jeans. The lighter wash feels fresh and the high rise is always flattering. Showing a photo of the backside (awkward) to show how well placed the pockets are too. They really do wonders for the behind and I can appreciate that. Not to mention, the flare is just right. These are a new addition to my closet and I’ve already worn them 3 times this past week! I said I’d never do the “mom jeans” thing but I finally caved and I’m not even mad about it! This light wash is phenominal and I actually love the fit. They are higher rise with a 12.5” inseam and do the trick for creating a fab waistline. They hit me about 2” above the ankles and are perfect to wear with mules or sneakers (which is basically all I wear). Also, can we take a moment to talk about this Barbie pink sweater??! It’s what dreams are made of and I’m smitten. It does a small funnel neck with a an asymmetrical neckline, which adds lots of interest and makes it feel elevated. It’s the perfect length to wear with high waisted jeans and comes in a TON of colors HERE.

These jeans don’t even need an introduction because I wear them so dang much! They’ve been my go-to pair of casual jeans (that I also dress up) for two years now! They’re great with jeans with flats, sneakers, heels AND booties and are insanely flattering. I was hesitant to make the investment in these initially, but based on how well THIS PAIR fit me, I went for it and am SO happy that I did. I get more compliments on these jeans than any other, and I don’t know what it is about them–but the hubs loves them too. I’ve never had a pair of jeans that can turn his head faster—so proceed with caution, if ya know what I mean 😉
