Dan’s Haircare Routine September 6, 2019 | *This post is sponsored by Harry’s and Shopstyle Funny enough, Dan’s hair and haircare routine is a frequently asked question around this place and (as you can see), his curls were obviously passed down to our girls. Before I met him, I knew nothing about the finesse that goes into caring for curly hair, so I’m always really happy when we find something new that works for his hair. He’s been a fan of Harry’s for a while now, and I actually bought him a few of their newly released hair products on a Walmart shopping trip whim about a month ago to try out. Funny enough, they asked us to collaborate on this post and it was perfect timing for a review because he’s about a month in to using them. What he loves about the Harry’s brand: -Clean, clear and concise design and formulations. The packaging clearly states what the product is designed to do and the formula makes it easy to execute. -Easy to use. There aren’t a ton of unnecessary products in the collection, so they offer the minimal amount of steps for the maximum results. -Easy to access! We both really appreciate that they are available at Walmart! He can run by after work and grab replacements if he’s in a pinch or I can simply add them to our weekly grocery pick up order. It really saves times and effort to have all of our personal care items available in one place, especially when they offer pickup 😉 What’s worked best: I went ahead and bought Dan all 3 styling products when I saw them, knowing that we’d have to play with them to find a combination that worked for his hair. He has curly hair that’s super soft. He needs styling products to help him maintain the texture and curl in his hair without it looking like he swam to work. He really likes the styled look, without the sticky, overdone feeling. Here’s the combination that worked best for him… Shower: Harry’s 2-1 Shampoo and Conditioner Styling: Harry’s Hair Cream | This is a soft hold hair cream that really just give his curls some shape and overall moisture lock. It’s AWESOME for giving textured hair shape and he absolutely loves it as a first step. Harry’s Texturizing Putty | He uses this as a final step and because it has more of a firm hold, it really keeps his hair in place. The bonus is that it gives great hold with more of a matte finish so he doesn’t have that glossy, wet look. Honestly, he didn’t think that this texturizing putty could stand up to what he had been using, and was so surprised when it did the job even better. If you don’t believe us, check the reviews! If your guy could use a little help with his haircare routine, or you could really appreciate finding him a drugstore brand that actually WORKS, I’d highly recommend trying Harry’s! It’s a well made product, that does the job well, is easy to access and is super affordable.
