One Room Challenge: Guest Room Makeover April 2, 2015 | It’s that time again…The One Room Challenge! Where you sign yourself up to makeover an entire room in 6 short weeks AKA you’re a clear glutton for punishment. This will be my 4th time to participate and I’m going to tackle our guest room. See my other challenges here: Media Room , Living Room , Powder Room Here’s the current guest room. Nothing super offensive, but way too cottage chic for me. I want to keep the color and bold pattern, but ditch the bed in a bag and add more modern linens. I love these gold side tables and they actually came in just today so they are ready to go! The walls are also a light butter cream yellow, which is not my jam so the walls will get a fresh coat of paint, but not anything dramatic. The plan: What I’ve got already: Side Tables Duvet Shams Vintage Bamboo Dresser (just need to paint) Also, had a great meeting with the fabulous girls at New South Home Couture today and we did lots of fabric scheming. We will save the deets for another week, though 🙂 What I Need: Pillows Drapes Art Lamps Paint So, obviously I have my work cutout for me, but I cannot wait to freshen up this space and make it super bright, vibrant and inviting for our guests! Make sure to visit Calling it Home to check out all of the fabulous designers and bloggers who are joining in on the challenge as well!
