My Top 5 Spring Shoes! April 16, 2019 | As the seasons truly change and it’s finally warm enough to wear sandals it feels like everyone is looking to update their shoes! Funny enough, I really didn’t have much updating to do because my favorite Spring and Summer shoes carried right over from last year and I’m betting they will still be my absolute go-to pairs for the warmer months. Since they turned out to be so awesome and I can really speak to the quality, durability and functionality of each pair—I thought that it would be fun to round them up in one post in case you’re looking to make a few updates to your shoe line up this year. Each pair works as a great neutral shoe and there’s one for every occasion–not to mention, the prices are great and they can all be found at Nordstrom where the customer service is great and the shipping and returns are always free! Here are my Top 5 Shoes for Spring and Summer! Top 5 Neutral Shoes for Spring and Summer: One | Neutral Slide Sandal I bought these slides last Spring, not really having high expectations for them. I knew that I wanted more of the slide look rather than the flip flop look to change things up, so these seemed like a great option. WOW, did I wear them a lot. They easily went with every outfit, could actually be dressed up or down, are comfortable to boot and have a chic understated look. I truly give them a 10/10 and feel like you’d really love them too. Wearing them last year here… Left: Lawson’s Outfit | Lawson’s Shoes // My Top | My Shorts (similar) | My Shoes // Landry’s outfit (sold out) | Landry’s Shoes Right: Lawson + Landry’s outfits are both from Tea Collection // My Top (similar) | My Jeans (similar) | My Shoes Wearing them this year here… Black Swing Tank (half off and under $20!) | Camo Pull-on Pants | Sunnies | Hat | Slides Two | Arizona Birkenstocks If you were following along last Spring you know that I was a little hesitant about these. They stopped me in my tracks in the store, but I really had to get past the idea of Birks being back in style. I couldn’t stop thinking about them and ended up taking the plunge and ordering them and absolutely LOVED them. They ended up being one of the most purchased items from the blog all of last year and I got so so many messages of affirmation from you guys that they were indeed amazing. They have the comfort of Birkenstocks, but the chic oversized gold buckle makes them feel elevated and cool. I promise, if you were ever on the fence about these they will be your go-to Summer shoe for Mommin’. Comfy and cute and pretty hard to ruin. Vintage Inspired T-Shirt | Denim Shorts | Birkenstocks | Hat | Bag Three | Casual Sneaker So I DO wear my Golden Goose sneakers year around, but they are currently sold out and I know that the price point is a bit silly. The good news is that I did find these sneakers from Tretorn that are an amazing Summer option. They have a hidden inner heel (just like GG) and give you a little extra height (amazing for the legs) and are so so comfy. I ordered a pair for myself to be sure that they were as amazing as they looked online and now that’s confirmed! I love the light, bright look of them and would pair them with anything from shorts to a casual dress. The sneaker movement is real and I think it’s just about the best thing ever, especially for moms! Four | Espadrille Wedge I bought these at the very end of the Summer last year and wished that I had gotten them sooner! They are BY FAR the most comfortable, flattering and easy to wear wedge that you will find—and they price cannot be beat. Trust me when I tell you that these are a wear all day kind of shoe. They are easy to pair back to nearly any outfit from shorts to jeans to dresses and will be one of your most worn shoes of the season–I promise! Dressed for Date Night with Jeans… Stripe Cami (under $30) | White Jeans (back in stock) | Clutch | Wedges Another dress + also with shorts… (L) Black Dress (on sale!) | Hat | Wedges // (R) Leopard Button Up | Black Shorts | Hat | Wedges Five | Nude Sandal You need at least one “dressy” shoe option for all of your Summer festivities and these are the best, IMO. They are a wonderful neutral, so comfortable and easy to wear for extended periods and work back to nearly any outfit. When I’m getting dressed up, it’s rare that I even reach for any other shoe—this style is my absolute go-to. If you need a dressy shoe update—this is your girl! Of course I also love having other fashion forward shoes sprinkled into my closet, but when it comes down to my day to day life (that I try to make as easy and as fuss free as possible), these neutrals are what I wear day in and day out. They are flattering, comfortable and I’m confident that they will work in your closet as well. If you had to narrow down to your top 5 shoes, what would they be?? Dying to hear! *This post was written in partnership with Nordstrom and Shopstyle. All opinions are my own and all shoes were ones that I already owned and loved. As always, thank you for supporting brands that support Style Your Senses.
Lindsay Kingdon says April 16, 2019 at 1:49 PM I have the exact same philosophy about summer shoes! Except – I haven’t splurged on Birks yet. Thinking I may need to put those on my Mother’s Day wish list. 😉 And I love your light-colored slides.
Susan says April 28, 2019 at 7:59 AM Just recently bought the Treasure and Bond. They are amazeballs. I get what all the bloggers raves about last year. I love the Steve Madden but the heel height is just a tad too much for me. Plus the price point for anyone that needs a tad lower heel, DSW carries a brand called Kelly and Katie that have a shoe similar to this. They are so comfortable and only $39.99. I have like 5 pairs in a ton of different colors.
