Thanksgiving Tablescape with eBay November 15, 2018 | Today I’m teaming up with eBay to share a peek at our Thanksgiving tablescape and as well as my favorite DIY floral centerpiece that’s very easy to replicate for your own table! When I started to imagine Thanksgiving in our new house I kept coming back to the ginger jar blue that’s already in our dining room and continued to think about pairing it with shades of pink and gold for an out of the box Thanksgiving scheme that felt glam and unexpected. I absolutely love the way it came out and cannot wait to have family and friends in our house this Holiday season! See below for a step by step tutorial on how to make this beautiful centerpiece on a budget and how easy Dyson makes the clean up! I go into crazy lady cleaning mode when I know guests are coming over. I’m like a manic whizzing all over the house and can get cleaning done in record time. I always joke that it’s good to invite guests over once every week or two because that’s the only way that my house gets cleaned. Thankfully, Dyson makes that whole process easier and this year marks the third year that I’ve had mine. Dan actually got me THIS ONE for Christmas one year and I can still say that it’s one of the best gifts that I’ve ever been given. Did you guys know that there are Dyson vacuums on eBay for a total steal??? See HERE for prices you won’t believe! p.s. There’s a HUGE Dyson Event happening on eBay right now…everything is one sale HERE! Turn on your JavaScript to view content One of my absolute favorite things to do is scheme up and set a table! Once I had my color scheme in mind, I began to think through what I wanted the centerpiece to look like. The room is very large with high ceilings, so I knew that I needed to to be a bold focal point, but I also knew that I wanted to make sure guests could still see each other and hold a conversation over the table. I found a beautiful mercury glass bowl (similar to this one) and decided to DIY it. I purchased all of the flowers from my local grocery store and the entire thing cost less than $75. It’s one of my favorite DIY projects of all time and I’m thrilled to share it with you today. Turn on your JavaScript to view content Thanksgiving Tablescape Centerpiece: How To Video (press play) What You Need: Glass bowl or large container of your choice Wet Floral Foam Roses (I used 5 doz) / Remove Leaves Filler (I used eucalyptus and berries) Fresh Fruit (I used pomegranates and persimmons) Kabob Skewers Floral Sheers Step 1: Place the foam in the dish, leaving very little wiggle room. I had to cut and manipulate mine to ensure there wasn’t any extra room Step 2: Start positioning roses around the container making a crescent shape. I do one color at a time to ensure that they are evenly distributed throughout. *Pro-tip: With slightly damp fingers, spread out the petals on your roses so that they appear more full and fancy 😉 Step 3: Continue placing the roses throughout so that you continue to form a dome shape. This is somewhat trial and error, don’t be afraid to adjust if it’s not looking right or trim with your sheers so get the correct shape. Step 4: Where you have large holes, start strategically placing your filler. Instead of having filler all over, I like to have it strategically placed, especially around the bottom and on the sides so that your arrangement looks full, but doesn’t distract from the roses. Step 5: Skewer your fruit. I chose persimmons and pomegranates because they feel Fall and festive and also offer beautiful pops of color. *Pro-tip: Skewers are found next to the kitchen gadgets at your local store. Step 6: Begin placing your fruit skewers throughout your arrangement, focusing on larger holes within the flowers where your floral foam might still show. My method is placing some really deep within the arrangement and some further outward, creating dimension and interest. Step 7: Fill the bottom with water and do a happy dance because you’re done! Step 8: Remove the brush stick from your Dyson and use it handheld for an easy and quick clean up! That’s another thing that I love about my Dyson– how it becomes a handheld vacuum in one snap. I use the handheld portion to clean up small messes, clean out my car, and tackle things like the stairs! If you don’t have a Dyson, add it to your Christmas list ASAP— it may seem silly but in the end it will make your life SO much easier! eBay has an amazing Home + Garden assortment and they can totally help you to recreate our Thanksgiving Tablescape on a budget. Please share more (especially everyday/Trader Joe’s) flower arrangement. I love flowers but I really struggle to arrange them.
Joanna says November 15, 2018 at 12:57 PM Gorgeous centrepiece! The pomegranates really take it up a notch and are perfect for Thanksgiving. I love your little videos. It is so much easier to copy than just pictures, plus it’s fun to watch.

Pat says November 15, 2018 at 11:40 PM Beautiful arrangement! You’re very talented in creating floral designs ~ I’m not! ?? Did you cut the fruit with a knife or the shears? Is the Dyson heavy or light weight? I really need a new vacuum, mine is way too heavy. Are you hosting this Thanksgiving? Enjoy your gorgeous tablescape!!
