Best Boots of 2018 | How to Style Boots

I love compiling these “Best Of” posts where I can really narrow down and brag on my favorite finds within a certain category. There have been lots of requests for a boots/bootie review and I wanted to get it out to you this week before all of the Holiday crazy sets in! To be fair, brands send me quite a few things to review and 4 of these pairs of boots were gifts, and 3 I bought myself. I don’t think that I would have ever bought this many pair for one season, but when I am able to try out quite a few, it makes it easier to put together these types of posts so that I can cover all of the bases and hopefully help you find what you are looking for. Oddly enough, I found my absolute favorites later in the season than I normally do–which is why this post is happening a little later. The good news is that I found some of my favorite boots EVER this season and I’m glad that I waited for exactly what I was looking for instead of settling. I waited and waited and tried on about a zillion pair of booties and none wow-ed me enough to actually buy. I had my mind set on a wedge pair, but I just never found anything that checked all of the boxes–until last week! I came across these waterproof wedge booties and was immediately intrigued. I ordered them and patiently waited. When I put them on it was game over. They are flattering (slight pointed toe to elongate the legs), comfy as heck with a reasonable wedge–giving you height while still being able to wear them all day and waterproof so that you can truly wear them daily. I love that the elastic around the ankle allows for them to be slip on so you don’t have to deal with a zip closure. These are my #1 recommendation, especially at under $100! I kept my regular size 9 here but if you’re on the fence size up .5

These were definitely the biggest surprise of the season! I swore off white booties last year and when this pair my caught eye this year I couldn’t believe it. I think it’s because they are more of a creamy off white and have a western feel to them, which I’ve been loving. When my Trunk Club stylist sent them to me in my last Trunk I knew that it was meant to be. I’ve been surprised at how much wear I’ve gotten out of them and have loved having them in my line up as more of a fashion piece for Fall. TTS / I wear a 9.

I have to say, my friends at Sole Society sent me these and when I first un packed them I wasn’t sure about them. The magic happens when you put them on. They are a cool, comfy and casual everyday bootie that has some style to it with the midi rise. I love the look of them for a casual day with jeans and a boyfriend sweater. TTS / I wear a 9.

I’ve been raving about these all season long and won’t stop now. For years now, tall wedge boots have been very hard to find, so when Sole Society came out with these this Fall I snatched them up very fast. I love the long, clean silhouette and how the wedge provides all day comfort. These are not only stylish but also comfy enough to wear all day long. TTS / I wear a 9.

These are new to the crew and oh-em-gee! I don’t like to play favorites but these are good, y’all! They don’t have a zipper closure, but they do have a wide shaft that allows for them to be slipped on. The shaft stays put and doesn’t slouch, which I love and I also adore the pointed toe because my legs felt a mile long. These are an amazing boot if you are in the market for something similar. You’ve also heard me sing the praises of these black over the knee boots! I definitely didn’t expect to like them as much as I do and now wear them every chance I get. They create a very long clean line when worn with black jeans or black leggings and the look is sleek and flattering. The material around your leg is stretchy and comfortable and doesn’t move all day long, making them easy to wear. They also have a shorter block heel so you really can wear them for very extended periods of time and still be comfy! They run TTS/ I’m wearing a 9.

After seeing these over the knee boots all over the internet I when Goodnight Macaroon asked me to try them! They are definitely the tallest of the crew and come about 3” over my knee. The legs on these are also made of a super stretch material that absolutely stays put to create a silhouette making your legs appear a mile long!
