Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Top Picks for Men + Kids July 18, 2018 | Hi Friends! Off to a bit of a late start today…mama is tired! If you are sick of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale talk, tune this post out, but I did promise coverage of these categories and I have to admit that once I dove in I was really surprised at how good they were. I wanted to make sure that I published this post before the sale launched to the public on Friday, so that you guys who are cardholders could make any final purchases before another round of chaos. I’m glad that I waited a little, because everything that I found and loved is still fully stocked and now everything seems to be functioning at Nordstrom and the customer service is back on point. I’m covering all of my favorites from Men’s and Kids and there are definitely some deals to speak of. As with the other posts, I didn’t include any fluff and only really covered items that we personally own or are actively shopping for. Grab your hubs and look over what I’ve found: JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. One | Hugo Boss Suit / Dan buys one of these nearly every year. It’s a wonderfully made, luxurious and modern cut suit that LASTS. He gets 3+ years wear out of them Two | Nordstrom Suit / This is a bargain option and Dan owns this one too. It’s a trim fit, but Nordstrom tailored it a bit more for us (free) and it’s a great fit. An everyday suit, without a ton of frills, but if your guy wears a suit everyday, this is an awesome filler option at a great price. Three | Gingham Trim Fit Non-Iron Shirt/ These are the only dress shirts that Dan wears anymore. They are a GREAT slim cut and are non-iron. They are under $30 each on sale. STOCK UP Four | Solid Trim Fit Non-Iron / Same as above but in all of the solid colors. Five | 3 Pack Boxer Brief Set / TMI but these are Dan’s favorite. They are silky soft but stay in place. Normally they are $20+ each, so this is a great deal. Six | Dress Belt / Dan has owned this one for nearly 5 years. It’s a great cognac color that matches nearly all of his dress shoes. The subtle pattern adds a bit of interest and snazz 😉 Seven | 3 Pack Performance Socks / These are the only socks he’ll wear with sneakers. Eight | Dressy Casual Comfort Shoes / These were the best seller on the Father’s Day Gift Guide and quite a few of you have already reached back out to say how much your guy truly loves them. They offer a polished look and don’t sacrifice comfort. Score them on sale for sure! Nine | Wing Tip Dress Shoes / These are a great value! Ten | Leather Flip Flops / Another thing I’ve raved about year over year. These flip flops seem expensive but they are the highest quality and get your guy MANY years of wear. They NEVER go on sale, so now’s the time. The two jackets below are pretty much all Dan wears throughout the Fall and Winter… Eleven | Lightweight Patagonia Twelve | Lightweight Nano Puff Thirteen | Casual Sneakers / Was shocked to see these on sale for around $50! This is less expensive than the women’s version! Fourteen | Slim Fit Dark Wash Jeans / Dan’s favorite fit in the AG jeans. They are a trim cut but not too tight on the legs, but still have a modern look. We always wait for the sale to grab a new pair. Fifteen | Flat Front Non-Iron Chinos / If your guy wears chinos to work everyday or wears them on Sunday’s to church, this Bonobos non-iron pair is an AMAZING value at just over $60 on sale. They come in a ton of colors and we’ve always been happy with the quality of Bonobos. Sixteen | Slim Fit Weekend Pants / These are the same fit as the jeans above…slim but not too tight. They are a great casual Friday work pant or a weekend alternative…cute for date night! Seventeen | 9.5” Flat Front Dress Shorts / Does your guy mostly wear shorts when it warm? These are a great, longer option that can easily be dressed up. They are a steal at $32 (multiple colors) and are part of Nordstrom’s Smart Care iron making them virtually wrinkle free. Eighteen | Flat Front Performance Shorts / These performance shorts are from Peter Millar and are great for hitting the course or enjoying any outdoor activity. They actively wick sweat away and are a wonderful option for an active guy. Sneakers for Girls | Sneakers for Boys Landry decided on THESE Puma’s and I HAD to buy the matching pair for Lawson! We also really liked the option from PLAE (so functional) and the Natives (a great fun, neutral). She also wanted THIS cozy fleece and I think it’s a very functional jacket! I know a lot of mamas use this time to stock up on activewear for boys too! A great school option and (from what I hear) all they really want to wear. NSALE Picks for Baby: Walker shoes for babies! This is a great time to get an awesome quality pair of walker shoes for babies, especially sicne they grow out of them so fast I LOVED OUR DOCATOT and on sale it’s even better. Lawson is loving this teether set My top Diaper Bag pick is this one from Honest, I love a backpack style, especially in this color. Jackie T. says July 18, 2018 at 9:34 PM I’m so glad you posted this because I ordered the Nordstrom Trim Fit suit in the solid navy for my son who just graduated college. I thought it would be a great “starter suit” for interviewing. It came about 2 hours ago and it’s a very nice quality and a pretty navy, not too dark. I believe you get a $100 tailoring/alterations credit per year as a cardholder too! Going to look at the Trim Fit shirts now that I see you have vouched for those. Do you wash them or still take them to the cleaners? Thanks for the post!
