The Weekend Edit | Style Your Senses

Good Morning Friends! I’m over here typing and doing a happy dance all at the same time! One of my very best friends from Charlotte is coming to visit this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited! I talked about feeling in a rut this week in yesterday’s post, and I’m almost certain taking some time away to have fun will get me back on track. I always get out of whack during the change of seasons or routines…anyone else? It takes me a few weeks to get my bearings back and feel inspired again and I’m actually just coming to realize that this happens nearly every time. Amy has never been to Dallas so I’m going to take her all around and we will eat + drink our way through it 😉 Lots of shopping, Tex Mex and pool time on our horizons. This Weekend Edit is going to be pretty short and sweet since I haven’t really published a ton of content this week, but I hope that you enjoy it regardless!

It’s crazy how little I posted to Instagram this week. Sometimes it feels like such a drain to me…the likes, the comments, the DMs, etc. And when it does I just have to back away. I never want to force it on there because I feel like that totally translates to you guys, so I just use the time to kind of “be quiet” and regroup. That was definitely this week! My friend Alison and I were together yesterday and this girl walked in with the CUTEST black dress and we both were immediately like ummmm let’s please ask her where that’s from! Needless to say I’d bought it within 5 minutes and you’ll be SHOCKED at the price. It’s so dang cute!

Yesterday on stories, I showed you guys Landry’s room updates and asked for your opinion about a rattan swing chair within the bay window pitch of her room. Of course the overwhelming majority of you voted YES and a few asked some questions about sourcing. Here’s the chair that I’m considering and I’m going to have to figure out how to save on other aspects of her room because it’s not really in the budget. Isn’t it dreamy though???

Speaking of home updates…I bought THIS etagere for my office, THIS rug for Lawson’s room and THESE frames for a beautiful gallery wall!

During the Summer, not much beats a beautiful gladiator sandal, IMO! They are sexy, comfy and all around classic + chic. When I saw these I knew that that nude option had to be mine! If you’re going on a beach trip soon–these are a MUST!
