One Top Worn 5 Ways! February 8, 2018 | Ok I”m really excited for today’s One Top Worn 5 Ways post! The love story started online when I saw this top. It’s about $20 more than I like to spend on tops, but I felt like I should at least try it because it looked really functional. When I got it in and tried it on, I knew that there was no way that I’d be able to send it back because it was so darn cute, so I began styling it lots of ways to prove my haunch that it was really versatile. Initially, I was just going to share the below outfit here on the blog, but I decided to create a mini-try on session to show you how many ways I’ve already styled it! It’s one of those tops that I think of as an “elevated basic” aka it’s SO functional and can be worn with lots of things, but there are still cute style details….the breathable fabric, cute pin stripe, and extended sleeves. So, here ya go, 5 ways to wear one top! I promise that you won’t regret the $69 price tag because this will be on constant rotation in your closet! Button Down Top | Highwaisted Denim | Sunnies | Wedge Sneakers | Bag (not online yet) This was probably my favorite way to style it just because it’s relevant for our current transition season. I paired it with the highwaisted skinnies that I keep raving about and the wedge sneakers that we all love. I did a true front tuck with the shirt and let the shirttail fall in the back. It’s a super simple look that still appears pulled together and effortless. Turn on your JavaScript to view content This is definitely an everyday Spring outfit that will be on repeat for me! I’m going to post most of these on Instagram Stories later today, but if you’d prefer to watch the try-on now…here it is! It’s a short video, but gives you a feel for how the top wears and styles. First, here are two ways to wear it as we wait (aka PLEAD) for the weather to warm up. I threw my favorite faux leather bomber over it with my tan mules for a little edge and then just a long cardigan for more of an everyday look. Left: Button Down Top | Highwaisted Denim | Faux Leather Bomber | Cognac Mules Right: Button Down Top | Highwaisted Denim | Long Cardigan | Cognac Mules Next, as you get into Spring and pull out your white denim, it looks just as cute! Works with a denim jacket if it’s still chilly or alone with a cute front knot if not. Left: Button Down Top | White Skinny Denim (similar) | Gold Slides (similar) Right: Button Down Top | White Skinny Denim (similar) | Gold Slides (similar) | Denim Jacket Finally, into Summer you can throw it on with your favorite cut off shorts and call it a day! Button Down Top | Distressed Denim Shorts (similar) | Espadrilles This top is also perfect for workwear and would easily tuck into your favorite skirt and work with a blazer of jacket layered on top. Truly one of the most adorable and functional tops that I’ve found in recent memory! I hope that you enjoyed this post, because I loved putting it together and can totally see myself doing similar posts in the future…what do you guys think? I hope that you are having an amazing week!
