My Skincare Routine with Colleen Rothschild November 20, 2017 | Good Monday morning, friends! Thanks for tuning in for a rare Sunday post yesterday! Dan made it through my Christmas list with only a slight panic attack, and you guys gave me great feedback on some of the items…so thank you! Today I am venturing just slightly outside of the box to share the first post on a highly requested topic…BEAUTY! I’m dishing all about my current skincare routine with Colleen Rothschild and I can’t even pretend that I’m not super excited to share it with you guys because…IT WORKS! I take skincare seriously and know that it’s an investment, therefore I’m super picky about what I choose to share here with you guys. I’ve been using this regimen for over a month now and can absolutely attest to the fact that it works, as I have seen wonderful results! Also, this post could not have come at a better time because they just released their Black Friday sale TODAY and everything is 30% off!! A great time to try something new. She’s one of those women that you look at and think “I’ll have what she’s having!” Her skin was absolutely glowing and gorgeous and I thought that if her skincare line worked half as well for me that I would be in great shape! After 20 years working behind the scenes in the beauty industry, Colleen decided to take her vast knowledge of ingredients, formulations, and her desires for a well-curated, sensory filled facial experience and create her own line of skincare…thus was born Colleen Rothschild Beauty! My Jammies | Literally the softest, most comfy pjs that I’ve ever owned. If you don’t believe me, read the reviews. Great gifts, too! As most of you know, my skin is super tricky right now. I have melasma from pregnancy with Lawson and have always struggled with uneven skin tone and hormonal breakouts. Add that to the fact that I’m not getting any younger, and my skin has quickly become one of my biggest insecurities. I asked the Colleen Rothschild team to put together a regimen that would not only give me a deep clean, but would also work on my fine lines and help to really even out my skin tone. They sent over 5 products total and really streamlined the process for me, making it easier to remember and I don’t feel overwhelmed by a cabinet full of products that I never know when to use. If you are new to Colleen Rothschild, this cleansing balm is the first product that I would recommend. I was 100% hesitant to try it, only because it’s nothing like what I knew a face cleanser to be, but thankfully I gave it a whirl because this stuff is amazing! You apply the cleanser to a dry face (I always remove my makeup beforehand), which definitely feels strange at first. You then massage it in all over your face for a minute or so, until you notice that it has warmed up. The balm comes with a muslin cloth that you can also wet with warm water and place over your face while the cleanser is still on for an at-home facial experience. After that simply rinse with warm water, followed by one splash of cool water and pat dry. One of Colleen’s mission statement’s for her line is to give customers a full sensory experience when using the products and the cleansing balm really embodies that to me. It’s a luxurious texture, has the most beautiful spa like aromatics, and leaves skin feeling SO refreshed and soft. I truly feel like I am “treating myself” every single time I wash my face, that’s how luxurious the whole experience is. Since I don’t get to indulge in much time away to enjoy regular facials, this really does take the place of that for me and thankfully I can do it twice a day at home 🙂 I’ll share more on Instastories today, but the above photos were taken after 3 weeks of using the products, so you can really see that a little goes a long way. I would say that the cleansing balm will probably last 3+ months, which comes out to only about $20 a month (and for the experience that you get while using it), I think that it’s a total steal! Here’s a full run down of my morning + night regimens: Morning: Cleansing Balm / Cleans my face and really wakes up my skin. Applying it to a dry face in the morning feels like I am really getting the blood flowing to my face, waking my skin up. Age Renewal Super Serum / This is working on my fine lines, boosting collagen and helping to keep moisture locked into my skin throughout the day. Vitamin C Treatment Complex / This potent form of Vitamin C helps to reduce hyper-pigmentation of the skin due, leaving your skin tone more even and glowing. This has REALLY helped with my melasma. Extreme Recovery Cream / This is the last step, as I layer it over the treatment complexes above. It’s a light, whipped moisturizer that leaves skin silky smooth and locks in moisture for the day as well as promotes the absorption of the treatments above. Nighttime: Cleansing Balm / I always remove my makeup before cleansing at night. Using this at night and creating the friction on a dry face really feels like I am cleaning my pores and my skin feels refreshed after a long day. Age Renewal Super Serum / This is working on my fine lines, boosting collagen and helping to keep moisture locked into my skin during the night Face N’9 Oil / Another product that I was a but hesitant about, because I never thought that using oil on my skin would be a good idea. Let’s just say that that was a myth and this stuff is amazing. It’s a light, silky oil that leaves skin feeling moisturized and glowing. One of their best sellers, I would highly recommend trying this as well Extreme Recovery Cream / This is the last step, as I layer it over the treatment complexes above. It’s a light, whipped moisturizer that leaves skin silky smooth and locks in moisture for the day as well as promotes the absorption of the treatments above. Another thing that I love about Colleen Rothschild is that its SO well curated. There are not 1,000 different products to choose from, which I love. She’s formulated what she feels is the “best of best” product for a particular skin concern and that’s what’s listed on her site. There are only 22 skin care products total and as someone who needs simplicity, this was amazing. I am so so happy with this regimen you guys, truly would not share it with you unless I felt that it was worth your investment. I am actually personally taking advantage of their Black Friday sale and am stocking up on cleansing balm ($45 after the discount!) and am trying their new Retinol Oil. I’ve heard RAVE reviews about the anti-aging capabilities of this stuff and am excited to swap it out for the N’9 oil 2-3 nights a week. It’s already received lots of rave reviews about how it’s formulated with Retinol that works but doesn’t dry out your skin…winner winner! Retinol Oil Also, if you really want to try most of the things that I mentioned, but aren’t quite ready to make the investment in the full sized versions, this Discovery Kit is an amazing option. You get travel-sized versions of all of her best selling products and really get enough to try each out on your skin for about a month or so before committing to a full sized product. On sale, the Discovery Kit is only $66, so such a great deal and even an awesome gift idea! Discovery Kit Remember to use code BFRI30 for 30% off of your order through Black Friday! I hope you enjoyed learning about one of my new favorites and if you decide to give the products a try please report back to me on how you liked them! -xo Keep up with Gift Guides HERE. *This post was sponsored by Colleen Rothschild Beauty.
