My Favorite Nursing Bra June 27, 2017 | *This post was sponsored by Bravado, but all opinions, images and content are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that also support Style Your Senses. Little did I know that a post about nursing bras would be one of the most requested post baby posts of all! Today I am finally dishing all about my favorite nursing bra and why every breastfeeding mama absolutely needs one. Ballet Nursing Bra (available in 3 colors) When Bravado asked me to review their new ballet nursing bra, I honestly didn’t have super high expectations. After nursing Landry for a year, I felt that finding a nursing bra that I actually *liked* was like trying to find a unicorn. I expected to just suck it up again this go round and be uncomfortable in bras that were ill fitting and annoying…forcing me to clip and unclip every.single.time. I don’t know about you, but those dang clips never come easy to me at 2 a.m. When I first opened the Ballet Bra, I was very intrigued. It’s so soft and silky and the wide straps actually looked like they could be comfortable, but I was hesitant to believe that the design could actually support nursing boobies. Well, after trying it on I knew that I might have found my unicorn…*que happy dance.* The Ballet Bra is not only one of the most comfortable bras that I’ve ever worn, but it’s also really supportive (I’m an E cup right now) and offers super easy and fuss-free access. The thick straps actually offer decent back support and the durable elastic band is worlds more comfortable than underwire, while also offering support. When nursing in public under a cover, I cannot stand fighting to clip and unclip a nursing bra, this one you simply pull to the side and it makes things SO smooth. It’s also amazing for night feedings when you’re half asleep. Speaking of night feedings, another one of my hangups with nursing bras is that you actually have to wear a bra at night. What kind of sick punishment is that?! Thankfully, this one is so comfortable that I actually LIKE to wear it at night! I’m telling you guys, this thing is amazing. The team at Bravado sent me the blush pink color to review and within two days of wearing it, I ordered the nude and black on my own because I loved it so much. I’ve been able to wear it with nearly anything, but I love it most with my favorite Summer tees and tanks. It gives great shape and offers super easy access. I’m wearing a M and I’m normally a 34D bra size but nursing I’m around an E, which was consistent with their sizing chart. My only piece of advice is to wash it and then lay flat to dry (which is also what Bravado also recommends). I got lazy and put mine in the dryer and had to untwist the elastic a bit afterwards. The good news is that the nylon/spandex blend fabric dries REALLY quickly when laying flat, so it’s not really an issue. Definitely consider adding this bra to your registry or adding it to your cart if you’re pregnant or a new nursing mama. I feel SO confident recommending this product and am excited for all of my virtual mommy friends to try it! Depending on where you like to shop, it’s available at all of your favorite retailers: Bravadodesigns.com | Nordstrom | Amazon Since they know nursing bras so well, I decided to try Bravado’s seamless nursing cami and also give it a 5 star review! It’s so well made that it offers support and smoothing features all in one and also allows me to skip a bra and wear this as an all in one piece, which I know that most busy moms can appreciate…especially in the Summer! The straps are adjustable and are also convertible, allowing you to create a perfect base layer for nearly anything you’re wearing. I love wearing this tank under lightweight t-shirts or even as a visible base layer with a long cardigan or kimono on top. I’ve bought it in black and white and absolutely consider it an essential! Here’s a peek at what our mornings look like (sans full face of makeup and curled hair lol). Landry climbs in bed with me for some cartoons and snuggles and Lawson loves to leisurely nurse in the mornings. I’m loving the slower pace of Summer and I’m soaking up this sweet time with my precious babies. If you are not pregnant or nursing or couldn’t give a hoot about nursing bras, thank you for indulging me in this post. I love sharing all aspects of my life and recommending products that are consistent with my current phase. If you know someone who is pregnant or nursing, definitely consider forwarding this along to her or pinning this for later! I hope that you guys have a great week! Cheers -M
Callie B says June 27, 2017 at 4:09 PM I just had baby #2 and felt the exact same way as you did about nursing bras! I feel like it seems impossible to find the right bra that is comfy and fits just right. Let alone having the time to go try them on when you have a newborn. Just ordered a nude one!!! Thank you soooooo much for sharing. So excited to try it!!
