Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Carseat + BravoFor2 Stroller Reviews May 30, 2017 | This post was sponsored by buybuy BABY, but all opinions, photography and content are my own. Thank you for supporting brands who make Style Your Senses possible. Two of the most frequently asked questions that I’ve gotten related to babies and baby gear is “What carseat is your favorite?” and “What stroller are you using now that you have two kids?” So, I decided to answer both questions in one post, since they are all sort of related and integrated. There’s a lot to cover here, but here are the products that I’ll be talking about for reference: Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Carseat Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Carseat Base Chicco KeyFit Lightweight Caddy Chicco BravoFor2 Sit and Stand Double Stroller Aside from the Rock-N-Play, my most loved piece of baby gear from Landry was her Chicco KeyFit 30 carseat and the lightweight caddy stroller fitted to match the seat. Landry did a number on her infant carseat (#helloblowouts), but there was absolutely no question that we would get a new KeyFit again for Lawson and, again, I’m super happy with our decision. Let me tell you why I love it… First, I love how easy the base is to install. It has a precision leveling system and center pull latch adjustment to make installing it correctly nearly fool proof. We have a base for each car (and one for my moms car when we are home in Louisiana) and it’s super each to pop the carseat in and out of. There’s a loud click to ensure that the carseat is attached properly and I always feel very confident in how the system is installed. To read it’s 5 Star reviews and lots of Q+A about the functionality of the base, head HERE. The real selling point (aside from the stellar safety aspects) of the actual KeyFit Infant seat for me was how LIGHTWEIGHT it is. At right around 10lbs (without baby), I don’t feel like I’m about to fall over carrying it around and/or getting it in and out of my SUV. Mama’s, you need to understand the weight of the seat that you choose. Anything over 11lbs is probably going to feel like a sinking ship with a baby in there too, so please please head into buybuy BABY before you make a final decision and talk with one of their experts about features and carry each seat around for an extended period. Other things that I like about it are how easy it is to clean, the extended visor for sun protection and the super comfortable top handle. The other part of the equation as to why I love this carseat is the lightweight aluminum caddy that you can buy to accompany it. I also had this with Landry and was SO excited to use it again for Lawson. The entire thing is around 11lbs (truly unheard of for any type of stroller), so I can really get it in and out of my trunk easily and basically pop it out with one hand. It’s fitted with a latch system that the carseat simply clicks in to, has a ton of storage on the bottom and folds down nearly flat in your trunk. I can’t stress enough how easy and lightweight this bad boy is. It lives in the back of my trunk and I definitely use it more than any other stroller, especially for things like picking up Landry for school, quick errands, and trips to the park. Read it’s near perfect reviews, as well as lots of Q+A about the functionality of it HERE. Now, moving on to what I use when I have both girls with me, but first here’s how they BOTH look folded down in my trunk. That’s the caddy AND the double stroller and I have only a mid-sized SUV. Normally, a double stroller alone would take up more space than this…which is why I love these two and am able to keep them in my car at all times. I’ve been SO excited to tell you guys about this double stroller, because honestly I still geek out about how much I love it. As we were taking these photos, my photographer (who doesn’t even have kids) could not get over the functionality of it. She kept saying “Wow this is SO cool!” and I couldn’t agree more!! The BravoFor2 Sit and Stand Double Stroller is really a dream for parents who have a toddler and an infant and here’s why… What I love about it: It’s super lightweight when compared to other double strollers. At 26 lbs, it’s anywhere from 3-10 lbs less than other comparable double strollers! It folds down really flat compared to other double strollers and really allows me to keep it in my car always. It’s easy to activate and fuss free. It’s the most functional thing…ever! Here’s what I mean… For my use now, the front seat folds down and on the back of it there’s a built in latch system where the KeyFit carseat can click into on the front. Once Lawson gets older, we will fold the front seat up and she can ride there with a latch and snack tray (included). For the toddler, there are two options…a ride along roller board to stand on and a foldaway seat that they can pull down and sit on. There are built in handles for the toddler to hold on to in each position and I feel that Landry is super stable and secure in either position. She LOVES having options and looks forward to choosing how she will ride for the day. Here are all of the moving parts! It’s hard to put into words just how genius this system is for a growing family, but trust me that it’s $300 WELL SPENT for the amount of functionality that you get. If you’re in the market, you should really watch THIS VIDEO of all of the different options in motion…you should read the PERFECT 5 star reviews while you’re there too 😉 So there you have it…me totally geeking out about baby gear that I truly love and use on the daily. If you are a first time parent or want to put my opinions and accolades to the test, please please head in to your local buybuy BABY store! They have a full staff of employees who are trained to be experts in their department at your service. One of the smartest things that I did when registering was to spend about 2 hours going through the store and speaking with experts about each item. I can tell you I spent the bulk of my time in the “gear” section and had the expert walk me through each piece that I registered for. I wanted to see how they functioned, how to adjust the harnesses, how to install, how to fold…I literally had them walk me through nearly everything and it was such an invaluable service because I felt SO much for confident going in to it! If you’re expecting…definitely consider adding this gear to your registry! If not, forward this along to an expecting mama! Thanks again to buybuy BABY for sponsoring this post
