The Friday Edit March 24, 2017 | Hi Friends! We meet on a Friday again! Whew a lot has happened behind the blog this week and I’m feeling all of the feels. We had great friends in town last weekend which brought us so much joy, we’ve been really preparing for baby girl which is so exciting I could squeal and we’ve also been mourning a family member who is very sick, which brings so much sadness…throw some good ole pregnancy hormones into that mix and I’ll leave it up to you to decide how many times I’ve cried this week. (Hint: we are probably pushing triple digits). Such is life, right? I’m so thankful that you guys joined me on the blog this week and just in case you missed anything…here’s a Friday Edit for ya with all of the highlights… Top Post: Style Board Series: What to Wear for Easter | I’m loving how much YOU guys are loving these posts! In fact, I’m going to pick up a fresh pint of it today! There’s a local business here that makes and sells it and she just opened an Etsy shop, so I wanted to share it with you guys since now she ships. Read all about the benefits of Elderberry syrup and the ingredients in her shop–HERE. This article was floating around in one of my Facebook groups and I have to say that I was hesitant to read it because I really don’t like the word “mediocre.” Actually, I don’t like it at all. BUT I did end up clicking through and found the read super refreshing. In a world of social media screaming at us to “be the best at all of the things”…this was a gentle reminder to slow down and understand that sometimes being in the middle on some things is OKAY. Might be good for your mama heart…read it HERE. You guys…I found the lighting deal of the century! LK had a birthday party at a friend’s house over the weekend and in their dining room they had two of these beauties over an extra long farm house table. To say that it was a show stopped was an understatement. The chandeliers were big (24” wide each) and beautiful, but still airy and open. I easily thought that they were probably $700+ each. While browsing lighting, I came across them on World Market’s site for $215 each!!! I almost fainted and am now scheming as to where I can possibly put one in our house. They are also a perfect blank canvas to easily spray paint. I’m thinking one in a super pale mint green….swoon! Shop them HERE in two sizes. Isn’t her dining room beautiful? Charlotte ladies, she used local designer Christian Ray Interiors to help her pull it together! Little Landry is becoming increasingly interested in helping me in the kitchen, so I’ve been pinning away ideas of things that we can create together. I LOVE this darling little Easter dirt cake with peeps and Oreos…easy to put together and allows her to get creative when decorating. I put it down on our Spring Break fun list! See recipe HERE. Sales and Steals: This darling little embroidered dress just got a big markdown and is still stocked in all sizes. Wear it with cute lace-up sandals and you have a great casual Spring look. These darling shorts were just released and are 40% off this weekend. Grab them for $36 HERE! I LOVE the way LOFT shorts fit too, never too short. I hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend! Keep us in your prayers 🙂
