Style Your Senses
A Life + Style Blog for the modern millennial who wants it all.

Hi Friends. How was your week? I’m writing from a very sobering Charlotte, NC and it’s truly hard to even gather my thoughts to write this Friday Edit. I love being a blogger and sharing my daily ramblings with you, but sometimes I feel like I have to always be so politically correct, hold my tongue and not really have an opinion on things, other than off the shoulder tops. This is one of the absolute hardest things about my job, because I am SO grateful for this country that we live in and the brave men and women who serve us daily. I, in no way, condone the violence that is happening in this city and think that acting in such a way only takes the focus away from the real issues at hand. I also value life…from conception to natural death…and understand that people are hurting and mourning, but violence like this is not the answer. Robbing stores, breaking glass, starting fires, and standing in the faces of our officers speaking obscenities is NOT the way to start change. It is NOT the way to exploit your voice or gain respect, in fact, it only widens the gap. I will stand behind our officers in Blue all of the way and trust that they will lawfully do their job to serve and protect the greater good. If, in any case, police officers do not perform their jobs as they should, I fully expect that they will be given a fair trial just like all other American citizens are entitled to.
Please please join me in prayer for Charlotte and for peace and understanding…

On Tuesday I shared my Top 10 Denim Finds for Fall all under $100. I talked about what the denim trends for Fall look like and also answered lots of questions about denim and how to wear it! See the full post HERE or shop my top finds below.
Since the top Instagrams from this week were from the Athleisure and Casual Outfit posts that I talked about above, I thought that I would share two other ‘grams that you also seemed to like!
This was my “First Day of Fall” outfit! Lightweight layers and I didn’t completely combust…it was a total win!
Lightweight Cardigan | Olive Green Tee | Black Denim | Mules | Delicate Necklace
I also might have a slight obsession with olive green…and slight as in I mean I might already need an intervention! New manicure is my favorite in a LONG time and I think that it’s the perfect Fall nail color!
Military Jacket | Tights | Sneakers | Watch | Nail Polish | Ring
My friend Emily of 11 Gables never disappoints with her home tours and this year she has me wanting to redecorate my entire house in French Country! Her kitchen is my favorite!! See the full tour HERE.
I’m thinking abut sharing a full roundup of beauty products that I am loving right now, but this one product cannot wait…you must get this ASAP. I’ve always used L’Oreal Voluminous mascara…it’s hands down the best, even when compared to designer brands. When I saw that L’Oreal came out with a Voluminous Primer I was curious enough to try it. Okay, I am obsessed! It coats the lashes so well, lengthening them and when you put the mascara on over it you will notice SO much more volume and length. It’s seriously a little tiny miracle worker. Snag it HERE.
Ellen Degeneres just came out with the cutest line available at Nordstrom and I’m loving these cheeky flats. Ellen not only cracks me up, but I truly believe that she has a heart of gold and I think that these are a happy reminder of that. Great for everyday wear with skinny jeans and a sweater, these are a perfect reminder to SMILE 🙂 There are tons of colors and words available HERE.
This recipe is going bananas on Pinterest (as it does every Fall). It’s one of my oldest posts, but is still one of the most pinned things from my blog. If you are looking for a fun way to welcome Fall, you HAVE to try this Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dip! But you also HAVE to serve it with THESE ginger snaps. Thank me later, friends!
p.s. are you following me on Pinterest? I’m SUPER active over there and would love to have you following along HERE.
Does anyone have an excuse to wear THIS DRESS???? I don’t think that I could love it any more than I do. The color, the silhouette, the sleeves, the price…oh my!!! I’m dying…
My friend Ali (@designingdeals on Insta if you need some awesome inspiration) got skirted slipper chairs in blush pink and I cannot stop thinking about how much I love this shape! If you are already thinking about updating your dining situation for Thanksgiving, these are an AMAZING deal and come in the most beautiful selection of neutral colors! Shop them on sale HERE.
Sales + Steals:
This cute cute shift dress that I’ve worn a ton over on Instagram is just the best dress to transition to Fall with and you can even pair it with over the knee boots as the weather cools. The good news is that it’s now 40% off, making it $53.00! Shop it in 4 colors HERE.
Shift Dress (was $89.00 / NOW $53)
Ladies, the white t-shirt that I won’t shut up about is on sale!!! I got a text from a friend and she told me how glad she was that she bought the tee because she hasn’t stop wearing it since. It made me feel so much better because I reach for mine everyday and I kinda started to feel a little crazy for wearing a plain white tee shirt so much!! But honestly, it’s that good! All colors are on sale and they are offering an extra 30% off! Shop them HERE.
Been eyeing this statement necklace that I can’t get enough of??? Well, score it for 25% for a limited time!!! In fact, BaubleBar’s entire site is 25% off until 9/26! The perfect time to stock up on all of your Fall baubles!
I hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend!

I am heartbroken about what’s happening in Charlotte. But what I really don’t understand is how anyone can think that violence is the answer. Don’t these people realize how many innocent people are being hurt by this rioting? It’s just too much to take in and I don’t have the answer but I know this is definitely not anywhere close to a solution. God bless.
Now, for the fun part. I have been using that primer from L’Oreal and it is so good. Does everything the pricier ones do at a fraction of the price. LOVE.
I ordered the Madewell T and it arrived last night, it is fabulous!
Now I really want to get the delicate necklace of yours from Baublebar but their site is down. Gotta keep checking back.
Praying for Charlotte!
