The Friday Edit

Oh I’m so glad that it’s Friday. SO glad. This week was a whirlwind of busy plus crazy minus daddy being gone a ton and a toddler trying to drop her nap (mama’s can you feel my panic exuding through the screen?!). Thankfully it’s the weekend and we wrapped our big office + playroom makeover (I’m sharing it on MONDAY!!!), but there are some sneaks still left up on Snapchat if you’re reading this before noon. Anyway, here’s what happened on zee blog this week:

Neutral Spring Shoes Under $100!

This whole series has been a hit with you guys and it makes me so happy. I feel really invested in it and love that you guys are finding some updated to bring some life to your Spring wardrobe. The funny thing is that I focused on neutrals (because I want the series to be all about building some staples pieces), but you guys were totally interested in the more trendy shoes I featured. THESE pom tassel sandals were the most loved and it looks like lots of you scooped up the croc Birkenstocks! ps, You officially pushed me over the edge with them and am ordering as we speak!

You also seemed to really love the Instagram roundup, which makes me happy! I personally love Instagram (well maybe not anymore?), but I know that it’s not for everyone and I often have people ask about outfits that they see in the daily newsletter that they’ve missed on Instagram. I thought that either monthly or bi-monthly roundups might be a good way to keep everyone in the loop and I’m so glad that you agree.

The most loved items from that post (and the month really) are this floral print swing dress and these lace up tassel sandals. Both well under $100 and pieces that are easy to just throw on and go.

You guys are also loving these denim shorts. I have them and wear them all of the time. Do you guys want me to do a denim short review? I can try to round up the best 7-10 pairs and try them all on for a fit guide? Let me know!

Since I know that denim shorts are a total staple in my summer lineup, I snagged this cute cuffed pair for $38! I am going to show you guys how they fit next week!

Lastly, the gingham dress was a hit in Wednesday’s post. Honestly, who doesn’t love a good versatile dress in their closet. I am always desperate for pieces in my closet that I can throw on quickly and still feel great in and this dress is definitely one of those pieces. A no brainer.

Just a little note about Instagram…not sure if everyone knows this but Instagram is owned by Facebook and rapidly adopting all of Facebook’s lame algorithms. Not only are you not seeing everyone you follow, but soon you won’t even see posts in chronological order any more. It totally stinks, but there IS something you can do! If you want to make sure that you don’t miss a post from any of your favorite accounts, turn on the post notifications for that account. You’ll be alerted each time a post goes live! Voila!

This was another look at the jumpsuit that was on the blog a few weeks ago! I wore it last weekend to see BoyzIIMen (!!!) in concert. Ya’ll not even going to lie that I still jam to B2M….on bended knee?? Yes, please! The concert was SO good and they actually did it with the Charlotte Symphony playing behind them…it was such a cool show.

p.s. I got a MAJOR upgrade to my go t0 clutch when I received this GORGEOUS handmade, calf hair clutch in a rich cheetah print. It’s absolutely amazing! You guys know I already love her stuff, remember these leopard tassel key chains??

Okay what is happening here? I’ve heard many renditions of Adele, but this scenario might take the cake.

On Snapchat, I shared one of my go-to easy weeknight dinners: Sheet Pan Suppers. I love how easy they are, making prep and cleanup a breeze! I found THIS great Pinterest board with lots of other sheet pan supper ideas!

Speaking of cooking, I could really see myself being a good cook in a kitchen like this. Every time I see it I literally start drooling! See the entire thing HERE.

But, have you guys seen THESE?? They are a GREAT Rockstud dupe if you don’t want to drop the cash on the real things. The studs are shiny and the shoe is really well constructed…definitely a great deal!
