Style Board Series January 24, 2017 | So there are days when I feel like I have “ah-HA” moments with this blog and I get really really excited! Today feels a little bit like one of those days, because I am super excited to share this new Style Board Series idea with you. The general concept of a Style Board is nothing new, in fact I create them often, but where I’m going with this series and how I want it to work for you guys is definitely more than a mood board. I mentioned this before, but over the past year (and since I can’t sit down to coffee with each of you in real life) I’ve looked at the back end of the blog in depth. I wanted some insight into who you guys are, what’s going on in your lives and what content you’re most engaged in…not to be all Big Brother on you…but to give you more of what you want and less of what you’re not as interested in. I’ve found that you guys fall within a wide age range, some more engaged with decor and some with fashion, you guys are busy busy, the majority of you are moms whether working outside of the home or not…and the one thing that I’ve found that you can all appreciate is stylish inspiration that’s easy to understand, relatable to your every day life and it has to be reasonably affordable. How did I do? All of that being said, I’ve been brainstorming ways to bring you this type of content on a weekly basis and that’s why I’m starting the “Style Board Series.” The Style Boards will be published weekly and will consist of 2-3 real life outfits that you can throw together in a pinch and use as style inspiration for when you’re feeling less than inspired with your closet. You can create a Pinterest board and pin each outfit to, so that you can quickly refer back to or find them. See my board HERE. Also, here’s a bit more insight + some goals that I want to achieve through this little series: -Weekly Style Inspiration that’s affordable, relatable and EASY to put together. -Everything that I’ll be using on the boards will be currently available in stores, but I do plan to use some of the same pieces over and over. This way it will function like a rolling capsule wardrobe for you guys. -Everything will be AFFORDABLE. Most pieces will be well under $100 and the majority under $50. There will be a few “splurges” that I recommend sprinkled in and I’ll always note why! -I’m listening to you! If there’s anything coming up or any particular outfits that you want me to create (that most people would also be interested in), I’m all ears and open to suggestions! -Overall, I want this to function for YOU. I want it to be a quick and easy way to feel inspired about getting dressed weekly and be a series that you look to for style advice when you’re wondering what to wear. How does this all sound??? Let’s do it! This first outfit is great for a casual date night, girls night out or you could throw it on with some flats for a day of shopping. The off the shoulder trend can definitely be a little challenging to wear with little’s in tow, so keep this one in mind for when it’s “mama only.” This top is a recent favorite (see: PRICE + length and back details) and is selling out so quickly (black sold out same day), so snag it when you can. You guys know I love a good tunic length, so you could also throw this on with moto leggings for a sassier (ie Vday date night) look. Here I paired it with my g0-to distressed skinnies (designer, but well-worth the price, IMO) and nude pumps. I jazzed it up with the leopard clutch and tassel earrings, which you can totally play around with! JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content. Off the Shoulder Top ($45 / 4 colors) | Distressed Skinny Jeans (See all AG Jeans HERE) | Blush Tassel Earrings ($34 + Tons of tassel options HERE) | Matte Liquid Gloss | Leopard Clutch ($79) (Investment options HERE)| Nude Pumps This next outfit is a weekday casual look for you moms running around with kids or a weekend casual look for you mamas who get the weekends off from work clothes. I’ve talked about this top before, but it’s reversible (see product photos HERE) and can be worn with the knot in the front or knot in the back. It also comes in black. Here, I’m suggesting it be worn with the high waisted version of my favorite leggings…that way (even if you wear the knot in back), you still have full coverage. I’m loving these new grey Adidas sneakers (mine should arrive ANY day now) and think that they are a great shoe to transition to Spring. I’m also still known to accessorize casual outfits (#judgeaway) and love the idea of a simple blush ball cap and dainty earrings to bop around in. JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reversible T-shirt ($56) | High Waisted Leggings ($54 in 4 prints) | Baseball Cap ($15 in 3 neutral colors) | Druzy Stud Earrings ($65 in 7 colors) | Grey Suede Sneakers ($88) | Marbled Steel Water Bottle
