One of my goals when starting this blog was to use it as a way to stay creative and share creative inspiration with whomever might be interested. It’s become that and so much more, and I am so grateful for this outlet of mine. I’ve been thinking about a way to share some other creative friends, people, and brands with you and think that I am going to go with this “Staying Creative” post monthly that highlights a favorite find from the month. I hope that you enjoy meeting these people and brands!
As we were browsing a darling beach side boutique in Seaside, FL a few months back, I stumbled upon the most amazing line of jewelry that I knew would be a perfect fit to share with you guys. There was an entire tray of thick leather bracelets adorned with gorgeous vintage jewels placed right next to the register and I was immediately intrigued. Upon picking one up, the most beautiful parchment tag was attached and in handwritten script, stated where each piece of vintage jewelry that was used to make the “new” piece was from. They were all so different and so beautiful and I feel head over heels in love with Made in the Deep South jewelry.
A quick glance at owner Michela’s story, and I could immediately see us being fast friends. A creative at heart, with a stint in interior design and finally focusing her energy on this one-of-a-kind jewelry line, she strives to creative unique pieces that allow women to express their style through accessories. Each vintage piece is carefully collected from anywhere in the world, but its story is not lost and lives on through the “new” piece that it’s used to make. The pieces are beautiful, yet a little rustic with lots of leather detail, and overall, very Southern…staying true to the brand’s name.
Are you as smitten as I am?? I’ll take one of each please. Since each piece is custom, be sure to contact Made in the Deep South directly for inquiries on where to buy their pieces (email@example.com). I have a feeling my Christmas list just got a whole lot shorter 😉
