Sephora VIB Sale 2016

Breaking my “no two posts in one day” rule only to share about another amazing sale that I’ve literally been counting down to for over a month now. Sephora’s VIB Sale 2016 is that ONE time of the year when the ENTIRE site is 20% off and it absolutely the best time to stock up on all things beauty…including Holiday gifts!! I have some makeup that I’m literally SCRAPING by on so that I could make it all last in time to re-buy during the sale. I tried out so many new products during last year’s sale and it really is a great time to not only buy things you’re been curious, about but also keep in mind the gals on your Holiday lists! Here’s what’s on my shopping list and I’ve broken it down by my tried and true products and things that I’ve been dying to try. Keep scrolling for more details on why I like each product…

The Starting Lineup:

Things that are in my makeup bag as we speak. Some I wear daily and some only on special occasions, but all are things that I would recommend to my girlfriends!

One  | Pore Minimizer

This little tube will make those pores disappear and allow for foundation to go on as smooth as butter. I wear this for a more dressed up makeup look, not for everyday only because my pores are sensitive to getting clogged.

Two | Concealer 

I 100% swear by this stuff! The maracuja base of this concealer makes it a thicker full coverage concealer, so this is truly my “I mean business” everday makeup essential.

Three | Under Eye Concealer

If you’re a tired mom, please do yourself a favor and buy this as fast as you can. It works absolute wonders under the eye!

Four  | Foundation

My everyday foundation. It’s a lightweight foundation that doesn’t lack coverage, which I love. I feel like I can adjust the finish based on base layer and finishing layer, which I also love.

Five | Bronzer

This is my everyday bronzer. It’s not too dramatic and can be used lightly all over the face for a “glow” or just under the cheekbones to add some shape and depth. Can’t live without this stuff!

Six | Contour Kit

I know many of you guys are hesitant about the contour, but if you haven’t jumped in yet let me suggest this…buy this kit on sale and take to YouTube. You will be shocked at what a different a good contour can make.

Seven | Brow Shaping Duo

Brows are SO important for your overall face shaping and I use this Bobbi Brown crayon to work wonders on mine. It’s shaped to make filling in your brows super easy and looks very natural.

Eight | Finishing Powder

This is new to my starting lineup and I really do like it. I was missing a finishing powder in my life and have been using it to blend in my final look and prevent makeup transfer under my eyes. It’s very natural and lightweight.

Nine | Long Wear Lipstick

Hands down my favorite lipstick + color combo. If you’re looking for a splurge lipstick, start here for sure. It’s long wearing and nothing compares to the colors of Nars.

Ten | Makeup Setting Spray

This setting spray is also new to my lineup and I’m not quite sure how on earth I ever lived without it! Two quick spritzes when you’re done applying and your makeup looks flawless for hours on end. I swear up and down by this little bottle of magic!!!

My Wish List:

These are the products that I’ve been eyeing! Most are sort of non-essential and things that I want to experiment with, thus I would prefer to get them on sale.

Eleven | Lip Contour Kit

Lip Contouring is definitely the new rage and I totally understand why. When done right, it can add so much volume to your lips! I’m dying for this lip contour kit and it keeps selling out so quick!

Twelve | Berry Eyeshadow Palette

This eye palette just hit my radar and I love these colors. Rich berries are always good for my brunette babes and I think that this is totally worth the under $20 price tag!

Thirteen | Mascara Duo Set

I’ve heard really great things about this brand of mascara for a while now and I’m really curious to see what the primer + mascara set can really do!

Fourteen | YSL Lipstick Set

I can’t stomach buying the full size YSL lipsticks in all of these colors, but I LOVE that they made this gift set with slightly smaller sizes of all of their top colors. That way I can get some great basic colors in just the size that I need.

Fifteen | Eye Cream

I’ve been dying to try this eye cream! It gets great reviews and seems to be hydrating for overnight and works on fine lines and wrinkles. The price is also great with the discount!

Sixteen | Narciso Perfume

I’ve had this in a rollerball form over and over and am definitely ready to commit to the full size. It’s a floral and musky scent which is my ideal combination. I get TONS of compliments on it.

Seventeen | Kate Somerville Exfoliator

This exfoliator treatment gets so so many good reviews, especially for the price. I love a good scrub down before bed so that my moisturizer sets in nicely so I am definitely going to give this a try.

Eighteen | Light Perfecting Shimmer

I love both of these beautiful colors to give some reflection in strategic places on the face or “strobing” as all of you makeup junkies would call it.

Nineteen | T3 Curling Set

I’ve been wishing for this set for like a year now…will someone just buy this for me?!?!? It’s definitely the best of the best when it comes to flawless curls, so if you want it at a discount NOW is definitely the time!
