A few months back my great friend Tess told me about this smoothie that she was drinking religiously. I had seen it on Pinterest but honestly a bright green drink was the last thing that looked appetizing. In fact, just talking about it made me a little queesy, but somehow she convinced me to try it. I was more than pleasantly surprised that I LOVED the taste and wasn’t overly full yet wasn’t hungry for a good 4 hours afterwards. Honestly, once the kitchen was un-packed it was one of the first things I started to make. Especially during my 3 trimester (when your stomach is so squished there’s virtually no room for a full meal) these were the perfect option. Trust me, you don’t even taste the spinach and there are tons of different fruits you can substitute. Tess also said she adds chocolate protein powder to hers, which is great when breastfeeding or when making one for the hubby. Overall, these have been a great pregnancy meal they are filling and are a great source of energy. Cheers!
