Fun Weekend Breakfast…Mini Cinis October 11, 2013 | I don’t think that these are any huge secret…they’re probably on the back of the can, really…but my mom has been making them for us on the weekends for umpteen years now and they’re our thing. So being home this week, I decided to share them with you! Hopefully you try these out for your kiddos (or your guests) and have some weekend fun too! Excuse some of the vague directions, but we have been eyeballing it for so long that there are no more clean cut measurements…and that’s okay for this recipe. Mini Cini’s 2 cans Crescent rolls 3-4 tablespoons butter (melted) Sugar Cinnamon Unroll Crescent dough and maintain two long rectangles. Press seams together. Spread a teaspoon (or so) of melted butter onto each rectangle Sprinkle a teaspoon (or so) of sugar over the melted butter. *My mom also uses brown sugar sometimes and it’s yummy! Top each rectangle with a few dashes of cinnamon. Roll each rectangle lengthwise into what looks like a jelly roll. From there, slice into 5 mini rolls and place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 325 degrees. Frosting (totally optional) Use remaining melted butter (1-2 tsp), and slowly add powdered sugar. Once it thickens, add .5 tsp milk and a dash of vanilla. ((I remember as a kid, that we would add food coloring around specific holidays…so fun!)) Steps 1-4 Step 5 Before baking. Yum!!! TGIF!!! Hope that you lovelies have a great weekend!!
