Today we are talking Fall 2016 Color Trends (!!!) and it’s the first post in my September series on all things Fall/Winter trends! I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about the color report for Fall when I initially read through Pantone’s predictions. It took me a little while, but when I saw the colors come to life through the Fall silhouettes, I am fully in love and on board. The deep reds, rich blues and golden take on neutrals are colors that I am certainly not used to wearing and it’s been fun to infuse such a different palette into my wardrobe! Here’s my take on the Fall 2016 Color Trends and some buy now pieces that you can use to update your closet and get ready for Fall! P.S. Make sure to pin this to your style boards on Pinterest to refer back to!
Rich Reds | Maroon
It’s no doubt that red is back with fury and these deep wine tones are trending for Fall in a BIG way. Think merlot, maroon and even deep plums. These colors are gorgeous dressed up with your black shoes and jeans and are also great dressed down with cognac colored neutrals.
Deep Turquoise | Dark Blue
The most beautiful shades of really saturated green-ish blue are taking over for Fall. While navy blue will always be an Autumn staple, these green infused hues are a fresh take on blue and are absolutely beautiful in silks, chiffons and velvets.
Think less metallic and a little more orange. A gorgeous golden hue that gives you all of the Fall feels. It works as sort of a neutral in your closet, but could also serve as a trend piece paired with something like black boots. If you are like me and have red undertones in your skin, this color is always a little hard to wear, so I opt for accessories in this color. If you have more of an olive skin tone, this has probably always been your color!
This is always one of my go-to Fall colors and I am so glad that it’s now trending and available in so many different shades. Look for colors that resemble rich foliage or even dusty moss…lots of different variations of green this season and I love each and every one of them!
This was the color that I was the most hesitant about and now it’s the one that I find myself gravitating towards the most. It’s a fun play on orange (which I never wear), but I feel like with the infusion of more red it makes this rust color more wearable and more flattering.
So what do you think of the Fall 2016 Color Trends? Are you seeing any colors that YOU love? Also, I have tons of Fall content planned, but I really want to hear things that you want. Please please use the comment section to suggest posts of any sort…things that you need help styling, a trend you want to try out, more home decor…tell me what I can write for YOU in September!

I love fall colors since they typically look better with my pale skin than the bright summer ones.
