Style Board Series: Volume 1 | Week 3 Casual Valentine's Day

Hi Friends! How are you guys today?? We made it through the Monday after the Superbowl…that deserves a slow clap, right? I still cannot get over that game! Yesterday we spent all day celebrating Landry’s 4th birthday! Remind me again how it’s possible that I have a 4 year old?! We had such a fun fun day and cannot wait to celebrate BIG time this week in Disney! Today is my third week of The Style Board Series and I decided to tackle casual Valentine’s // Galentine’s Day outfit ideas. Since red is making a huge comeback and totally trending right now, these outfits are more than appropriate outside of Valentine’s Day, but you know that I love a good excuse for a theme 😉 So think of these outfits for Valentine’s class parties at school, lunch with girlfriends, a coffee date, or even a casual dinner date.

I LOVE this stripe tunic as a great buy now + wear now piece that will still work through the Spring. While it’s still chilly outside, layer this plaid vest over it for some extra warmth. Pair it with these super versatile booties and everyday gold earrings for a laid back look that’s still fun and interesting. As the weather warms up you can start wearing the tunic with white denim and even throw the lightweight vest on over a v neck t-shirt!

I wanted to put together two fun looks showing off one of my favorite pre-Spring trends…girly RUFFLES! We will talk more about these feminine details later this week, but let’s just say I’m super excited! BOTH of these darling tops are under $50, so they are an easy way to be an early adopter of this fun trend. I’m showing you how tops like this might (at first glance) feel a little too dressy for everyday, but that you can really think of them as a jazzed up t-shirt and wear them as a fun alternative with sneakers.
