Skin Care Favorites + How to Clean Your Clarisonic Brush June 3, 2015 | Over the past few years (and especially after Landry was born) skincare has really become a priority of mine. My skin is super sensitive to product, makeup and hormones and I feel like I’m always trying to hone in on the perfect mix of products to keep a clear complexion while also focused on anti-aging. Along with going dairy-free a few months back (which I LOVE and has made a huge difference in my skins appearance!), I finally feel like I’m settled on a skincare routine that I’m happy with. See below for my daily // weekly favorites and what might work for you. I’m also sharing a super easy trick for cleaning your Clarisonic brush below! Also, if you guys want me to talk more about dairy free, happy to do that…let me know if it’s something you’re interested in hearing about 🙂 < > Why I Love Them: The Splurge Truth be told, I got this sample bottle as part of a charity auction set and literally after one use was hooked. I use it sparingly but can feel a difference in my skin after one use. I am saving my pennies for the big bottle for certain! Blackheads Be Gone I’ve been using this mask 1-2x a week for about 6 months now and love the way my face feels after. It dramatically reduces blackheads and gives an overall smooth feel after each use. Under Eye Circles I swear by this under eye cream and have been using it for nearly 2 years now. It reduced puffiness, eliminates dark circles and makes me feel like I wake up looking at least a little refreshed. email: lindsaylancaster@gmail.com if interested. Daily Exfoliation I cannot live without my Clarisonic. Period. I use it daily (although they recommend only 4x a week). I’m hooked on the way it makes my skin feel. Awesome exfoliation, reduces fine lines, and helps to slough off old skin…as well as deep cleaning. Daily Moisturizer Lightweight, won’t clog pores, and is great for sensitive skin Gentle Cleanser This foaming cleanser is also great for sensitive skin and I find that it cleans so well and doesn’t leave any residue behind. Daily Anti-Aging I always apply this lightweight, gentle anti-aging serum before my moisturizer and am really pleased with the results. Definitely reduces fine lines and helps with tone. So, we’ve already talked about my love for the Clarisonic. Like obsessed. The only thing that freaks me out a little is the brush head and keeping it clean. Looking at it, it looks like a potential Petri dish for growing who knows what and that’s not really the last thing I want to put on my face everyday. I’m adamant about keeping it clean and have found a super easy way to do so…so clearly I had to share with you. Like I said, I started using the Clarisonic over 2 years ago (when I was also nursing). I used the mircowaveable steam bags to clean my breast pump parts multiple times a day and would always end up using them to sanitize other things as well…pacis, toys, etc. I love how squeaky clean they make everything and thought that I might as well give them a try to clean the Clarisonic brush head. WOW! It worked like a charm! I steam the brush head twice weekly and I feel like it lasts so much longer that way. Simply take the brush head off, follow the cleaning instructions on the microwave bags and voila…you’re only 2 minutes away from a fully sanitized, squeaky clean brush head! If you’re not a mama or didn’t nurse find these bags at Target or Walmart close to the breast pumps and bottles or order them HERE. Happy Summer Skin, ladies! Would love to hear your Face Favs in the comments below…I’m always on the hunt for great products!

Tina Olsen says May 28, 2015 at 11:14 AM Thanks for suggesting the under eye cream! I am always looking for something that will help with dark circles and/or wrinkles around my eyes. This might be something I need to try!
Hannah Dawson says May 28, 2015 at 5:47 PM I've heard such good things about CeraVe, but I've never tried any of their products. Thanks you so so much for sharing how you clean your Clarisonic. I've had mine for almost 2 years and I could never think of a good way to clean it. I will definitely be picking up some of those bags when I'm at Target next time. http://www.loubsandlips.com

charmingincharlotte@gmail.com says June 2, 2015 at 3:36 AM Hi! It's been so so much easier than I expected it to be and the change in my skin has been crazy. Goat cheese has been a great replacement for cows milk cheese and I don't really even miss it. Pinterest has been a great source of recipe inspiration! xo
Shelly says June 2, 2015 at 1:28 AM Great idea on cleaning your brush head! Definitely trying! Also, check the spelling of The Splurge on your image of the products. I took a triple take. 😉
