One Room Challenge: Week 3 // Guest Room Makeover April 16, 2015 | Little flashes of delight happened this week, but geez it still feels crazy that we are already done with week THREE! If you need a quick catch up sesh, here’s what happened in WEEK 1 and WEEK 2. If you are brand new to the blog, see all of the One Room Challenges that I have completed below: Media Room , Living Room , Powder Room Back to business…here’s what I’ve done so far: -Duvet + Shams Arrived –Side Tables Arrived (and I love them!) -Ordered Fabric -Bought paint for dresser makeover -Painted Dresser -Bought Light fixture What’s still left: -Paint curtain rods -Find art. How do I sweet talk my way into THIS for above the bed??? -Finalize bedside lamps -Paint Bed -Decide how to style over the dresser. -PAINT THE ROOM 🙂 …oh did I mention i’ll be out of town next week? Bahaha I’m so funny! You guys loved when I posted this finished beauty on Instagram! Are you following along on the good ole Insta? You should be. Yes, $99. She’s a little too glitzy for my taste right now, but once I tone her down I think that she will be perfect for the space. Finally, I had a second meeting with the girls at New South Home Couture again yesterday to finalize the details on a big secret fun project! We also went over the fabric selections and this custom conversation monogram that they made especially for the space. I love it so much and cannot wait to place it in the finished room. I’ll be telling you more about their amazing business later on in the challenge, but here’s just a sneak 🙂 Hopefully, by next week I can show you a little bit of the room being put back together. I will need about 8 gallons of coffee and the entire weekend, but I think that I can get most of the things left on the punch list taken care of …. Be sure to head over to Calling it Home to check out the rest of the ORC peeps and see what they’ve been up to this week.

Anonymous says July 8, 2015 at 3:35 PM what color paint and who is it made by? Is it better to spray paint furniture or paint with a brush?
tai says January 19, 2016 at 5:23 PM really curious if you purchased the drawer pulls separately or if they came with dresser. i am looking for pulls just like those. would love to know the source!
Style Your Senses says January 19, 2016 at 10:51 PM Hi Tai! They came that way! Check D Lawless Hardware for campaign pulls 🙂
Morgan Smith says April 17, 2016 at 2:27 PM Can I ask how many cans of that pink paint did you use for the dresser? I have a bamboo dresser and I’d love to update it with pink just like this! I wanted to know how many cans to order! It looks like it gives a glossy, almost lacquer finish! Is that right? It’s gorgeous and I’m totally using this room as inspo for my master!
Style Your Senses says April 19, 2016 at 4:23 PM Hi Morgan! I’m sorry I don’t remember exactly. I primed it first then I would say it took at least 6-7 cans of the raspberry paint. I finished it with a clear lacquer spray too 🙂 Hope that helps! xo
